Is it claimable?:... Artworks - for your office and reception area, not your lounge room or home office Gaming consoles - for the office recreation area, not your lounge room or home office Make-up - for certain outdoor workers and flight attendants Handbags - if they are required for carrying work items and are fit for work purpose Dogs - only if they are bona fide guard dogs kept on a premises or essential in a line of work, such as breeding or dog training Spray Tan - for models and some professional athletes, but only at the time of work/competition Swords - only if you make a living as a knife swallower Manicure/Pedicure: only for hand/foot models (Source - intheblack magazine) See more

It comes after MSF Sugar sold more than 5000 hectares of cane land to Australian company Rural Funds Management for $81.1 million.... The settlement went ahead in October and the company has confirmed it will be converting more than 2000 hectares of cane land to growing macadamia nuts.

09.01.2022 The ATO has issued an apology to businesses after an error saw it calculate PAYG instalments for base rate entities, with an aggregated turnover of less than $50 million, using the previous company tax rate of 27.5 per cent instead of the correct 26 per cent. http://ow.ly/YtdI50CiaMt.

02.01.2022 Preparing for Christmas: Top tips for small business Staffing Christmas is the busiest period of the year for many small businesses, and it is reasonable to assume you’ll need additional staff, especially as regular employees may want to take leave over Christmas/New Year period. Plan your staffing needs early. Stock... Trading during peak times means you’ll need more stock to meet higher demand. Bulk buy ahead of time to take advantage of supplier discounts and to avoid running dry (which always happens at the most inconvenient time!). Trading Hours Tell your customers about changes to trading hours. If you’re staying open, let customers know so they don’t assume otherwise. Staying open enables you to take advantage of your competition’s reduced trading hours. Or, if you’re closing, capitalise on a rush of last-minute sales by letting your customers know trading days are limited. Wages & Rent Don’t let cash flow problems ruin your holidays! Particularly if you’re closing down over the peak period, ongoing rent and wage expenses can easily create cash flow problems. See more
