20.01.2022 Payroll tax relief for eligible businesses (Today is the usual due date for State Payroll Tax) As part of the Victorian Governments coronavirus payroll tax relief measures, eligible businesses can defer their payroll tax payments for the first half of the 2020-21 financial year.... ***You must still lodge your monthly return by the 7th day of each following month or the next business day.*** The deferral is in two stages: July, August and September 2020 payroll tax payments can be deferred until on or before 14 January 2021. October, November and December 2020 payroll tax payments can be deferred until on or before 9 March 2021. Starting from your January 2021 return (due on 8 February), you will lodge and pay your monthly returns as normal.

Full eligibility for this isnt available yet, as more details will be provided soon. We will keep you updated. This package includes:... The expanded Business Support Fund providing more than 80,000 eligible businesses with a new $5,000 grant to support them through the renewed restrictions. A $30 million dedicated fund for Victorias night time economy to support the hardest hit businesses in hospitality. $26 million in mental health support will ensure Victorians dealing with the compounding challenges of running a small business can get the support they need as they navigate their way through the crisis. A $10 million business mentoring program, pairing small business owners with experienced professionals who can help them navigate their way through the crisis. A $40 million capped fund for regional tourism businesses to cover the costs of refunds. A $20 million fund to support small businesess in Melbournes CBD that are faced with a large and sustained shock to their trading environments. 10.01.2022 Over the weekend the government announced more assistance yet again for Victorian businesses. All details havent yet been released, but here are some things we do know: The Business Survival and Adaptation Package is $3 billion to support Victorian businesses.... This includes a third round of the Business Support Fund for small and medium sized businesses which will provide up to $20K for business with a payroll of up to $10 million. There are also grants for the hospitality industry, business chamber and trader groups and Alpine businesses. A second part to this is helping businesses adapt so they can trade online, help Victorian exporters, and expand the click for vic campaign to encourage us all shop local. The government is also providing $1.8 billion in waivers and deferrals for tax and cashflow support.
