18.01.2022 Now more than ever is the time to save yourself some hard earned at the diesel pump With over 10,000Km of testing done on my personal vehicle (2015 2.8L Hilux) initially using as high as 13.43L/100Km with DPF regeneration issues. Since then it's had a toyota software update which reduced usage to an average of 9.45L/100Km. All emissions components remain in place and since a custom remap I am now reading as low as 8L/100Km on the highway and average 8.3L/100Km combined driving. 10.01.2022 A VW Touareg came in recently with an intermittent rough idle and the owner had been told by another workshop it would need a new set of injectors at over $6000. After some logging it was found the intake throttle was being commanded open and closed during idle causing the idle speed to fluctuate. Inspection of the intake showed large amounts of carbon build up in the intake from the EGR system. Intake was thoroughly cleaned and reassembled. The fault was repaired at a fraction of the cost previously quoted to replace the injectors. #optimisedtuning #vw #touareg #v6diesel #perthvw

06.01.2022 Due to the popularity of our last post relating to intake manifold cleaning, we have decided to run a special until the end of January 2021! As seen on the dyno graphs there is a minor improvement in engine power and torque across the entire rev range. Most notably the AFR's are two points leaner as the engine is able to breathe correctly. If the vehicle is to be tuned, this allows more room to work with during the tuning process to increase engine performance without overst...epping safe boundaries.
