25.01.2022 Morning bootcampers. Adam the Exercise Physiologist at Homebush was telling me the other day some interesting facts about how much money Americans spend on health products every year. It was significantly higher than any other nation, yet our friends in the States aren't known for their great health are they? So how can this be? Well that's because the best form of cure is prevention! Eat and live well now and you're more likely to avoid complications later in life. So be sure to get all of your essential nutrients every day everyone. Have a great day everyone! =)

22.01.2022 The #OptimumBootcamp athletics day continues with the lunchtime session doing theirs just outside the stadium that held the greatest #Olympics in history and the park named one of #Australia's greatest ever athletes...to quote Bruce McAvaney, I think that's pretty special! #bootcamp #sports #weightlifting #fitness #health #beeptest #winning #CathyFreemanPark @anzstadium

12.01.2022 A very cute way to show that there are good fats and bad fats. Saturated fat = bad (in large doses). It's found mostly in animal products like cheese, cream, butter and fatty meats. Polyunsaturated and Monounsaturated fats = good! Monounsatfat is found in things like avocado, nuts, olives and various oils like olive oil and sunflower oil. Polyunsatfat is found in nuts, seeds, fish, algae, leafy greens, and krill. Omega-3 and Omega-6 are types of Polyunsatfat. One of the best substiutes is ditching the butter for avocado...I absolutely love avocado. For breaky one day, I recommend trying avocado and vegemite on (wholemeal) toast...don't knock it until you've tried it!

07.01.2022 I love this quote. Remember that it takes time to build something great, so keep working hard bootcampers! Oh and no offence to those who do drive Toyotas ;) - Josh
