22.01.2022 Western Australia we’re not just flattening the curve, we’re smashing it! Due to all of our efforts of self isolating and social distancing, the Government regulations have now been moved to Level 1. This means that your Dentist has been given the go ahead to resume providing you with all dental treatment. If you’ve had an appointment postponed due to Covid-19, we can now see you for your appointment sooner than we anticipated. We are also pleased to be able to see you for yo...ur routine dental care so we’re able to continue to maintain your oral health. #OpulentDental #ODFalcon #HappyHealthySmile
19.01.2022 Stress is a common cause of teeth grinding or bruxism. When we’re stressed, our body increases adrenaline. And when you’re not moving your body at night that adrenaline can cause you to grind your teeth. Teeth grinding can cause irreparable damage - so if you think you are suffering from this issue, make sure to book in an appointment with your doctor! #OpulentDental #ODFalcon #HappyHealthySmile
16.01.2022 Opulent Dental is Preferred Provider.
15.01.2022 Have you ever wondered why the Dentist asks you to wear glasses during your check-up? Glasses not only provide comfort from the lights used, they also protect your eyes from any particles or liquids that could splash into the area during your clean! #OpulentDental #ODFalcon #HappyHealthySmile
15.01.2022 To all our patients, As you will have already heard, it was announced today that there was a positive COVID-19 test result in our community. This now means that for our dental practice, as advised by the Health Department and the Australian Dental Association, we will now be transitioning to helping our patients under certain criteria only:... 1. Manage dental pain or discomfort 2. Dental trauma 3. Those who are in urgent need of dental treatment and also have complex medical conditions 4. Those who are at a high risk of rapid progression of dental disease This means that we must defer all other dental treatment not meeting these criteria. We will be in touch with all our patients over the next 24-48 hours to help reschedule your appointments and answer any questions or concerns with your dental care. Our dental team remain contactable throughout the lockdown period. It's been nearly 10 months since we've last experienced community transmission in WA. But we've all been here before and we all know what to do. We've crushed this virus in our community before and we'll do it again over the next 5 days in lockdown. Thank you in advance for your patience, stay safe and look after each other. We will get through this together.
15.01.2022 Citrus fruits are extremely healthy, and rich in Vitamin C! However, they do contain a range of acids that can break down enamel on your teeth. When eating citrus make sure to drink a glass of water immediately after, to assist in washing out any excess acids remaining in your mouth. Gently brush your teeth about half an hour after consuming, not directly after as this can cause further harm. And like any good food, enjoy in moderation! #OpulentDental #ODFalcon #HappyHealthySmile

12.01.2022 Have you tried using an electric toothbrush? While a soft, regular toothbrush is fine, electric toothbrushes do have some benefits that can make your brushing routine easier. Most electric toothbrushes come with a 2 minute timer, so you know when you’ve completed a thorough clean. Electric toothbrushes can also make around 50,000 movements per minute, with a regular toothbrush making between 300 and 600. Electric toothbrushes are made with soft bristles which makes them great for teeth and gums. #OpulentDental #ODFalcon #HappyHealthySmile
09.01.2022 Your smile is as unique as you are. Yet, there’s one thing our mouths have in common - most of them face tooth decay. While it’s impossible to predict exactly who will get cavities, certain genetic and lifestyle factors can increase your susceptibility. Healthy oral habits and regular dental visits are key to stopping cavities.

08.01.2022 National Toothache Day on February 9th is a not so subtle reminder of the importance of dental care. Also known as odontalgia, a toothache is discomfort generating from a tooth or multiple teeth. To avoid toothaches, maintain your routine oral care and visit your dentist every 6 months. Use today to schedule that routine dental appointment. Take a moment to review good dental habits with your children and replace some of the sweets with healthy, crunchy veggies.
08.01.2022 We at Opulent Dental together with the Australian Dental Association celebrate Dental Health Week 2020 --How Much Sugar is Hiding In Your Trolley?. It draws on the concept of hidden sugars and reading food labels in order to make healthy choices. Making healthy choices at the supermarket extends to making similar smart food and drink choices at home. Saying ‘no’ to an unhealthy item in the supermarket means you don’t have to continue to say ‘no’ at home. 03.01.2022 A #HappyHealthySmile quote to brighten your day, from your friendly dental team #OpulentDental
03.01.2022 Losing baby teeth is an amazing time in your child’s life, where they are growing and developing mentally and physically. This is a very important time to keep their oral health front of mind. When your child has a wobbly tooth, don’t encourage them to pull it out with force. They can gently wobble it from side to side, and if it doesn’t come loose then leave it for a few days. Once a tooth has come out, especially if the gum is bleeding, make sure to have your child gargle with warm salt water. Keep their mouth and gums clean during this period to avoid any infection. #OpulentDental #ODFalcon #HappyHealthySmile
01.01.2022 We've had incredible results over the lockdown period, which means that we can now confidently and safely transition back to seeing all of our patients once again under the advice and guidance from the Health Department and the Australian Dental Association. Contact registers and SafeWA are now in effect in our practice. Let's continue doing our part during this transitional stage until Sunday 14 February. There's still some more work to be done but it's only for another 9 da...ys. We all got together, supported each other, and got the job done. Don't forget your masks when you leave your home. Looking forward to seeing you all very soon.
01.01.2022 Happy birthday, Karen! We wish you abundant happiness and love! May all your dreams turn into reality!
