15.01.2022 The Adelaide metro area, and as far as Mount Gambier, is currently experiencing smoke from the Kangaroo Island bushfires, which will worsen between midnight ton...ight and midday tomorrow. The smoke burden for Adelaide will be worse than previously experienced during recent bushfires. Bushfire smoke may cause discomfort for anyone, and especially those with chest and heart conditions. The best way to minimise these symptoms is to: Stay indoors Close doors, windows and air vents Use recycled or recirculated air in vehicles Continue regular medications Follow your health management plans Avoid rigorous outdoor exercise. For more information, visit: www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/bushfires

14.01.2022 The Australian Embassy is working with #Nepal Airlines on a commercial flight to Sydney on 6 May. Those who have emailed us their interest in being on this flig...ht will be contacted by the airline this week about tickets. There are three reasons we are investing this effort: 1) The priority we afford the safety and security of Australians during this #COVID-19 pandemic. 2) The imperative that Australians leave so the Nepal Government can focus on the welfare of its own people. 3) There is no prospect of normal commercial flights recommencing anytime soon.
