03.01.2022 The Vic NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony! Flags flown at half mast. A most amazing and deadly official start to Vic NAIDOC Week... Uncle Bill Nicholson gave a power...ful Welcome To Country. Aunt Jill Gallagher shared her staunch voice on the significance of this year. Esther Ketchell Tambo shared beautiful words and raised the flag on behalf of our Torres Strait Islander Community. Will Nicholson provided the smoking ceremony to cleanse our city and murrup. Amos Roach shared the healing sound of the Yidarki and kept the fire burning. James Henry, as always, captured the event just too deadly. Thank you to all who helped raise the flags, the Fed Square team and all who came along to make this event so meaningful, it was such a great start to Vic NAIDOC Week! By Mob, For Mob! Always Was, Always Will Be
