24.01.2022 COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS I received a call that nobody wants to receive. There’s a SNAKE in MY backyard. My girl Talee was our defence strike and miraculously did not get injured. A HUGE thank you to Sarah from Pet Medical Centre & Dubbo Equine Hospital who went above and beyond to ensure our girl was OK. Her professionalism and courtesy was amazing. We are so grateful to have Talee. Its currently breeding season for snakes and we hope this does not happen to you. Cheers, Nat

23.01.2022 Please, please, please, do not give Rawhide treats to your dogs this Christmas, or anytime. Copied from another post..... "We nearly lost our 2 year old pooch d...ue to him having a very large blockage in his stomach. Rawhide is not digestible so can build up in the stomach and also cause damage to the intestine. If we hadn’t taken him to the emergency vets on Sunday where they operated straight away it could have been a very different outcome. Charlie is now on the mend but may have to have another operation as he has damage to his intestine. The picture show just a small amount that they removed from his stomach (there was a lot more not shown in the picture). The vets bill came to 1600 which luckily we could pay and claim back on our insurance but not everyone could afford this and it would be heartbreaking for them if the only choice they had was to put their pet to sleep. All sale of Rawhide should be banned!!" In addition, much as you hate to waste Turkey or Chicken bones, and your doggy is drooling, please, do not give cooked bones to dogs either. Chicken and Turkey bones can splinter like timber, and can cause severe internal damage. Other cooked bones are also dangerous, and very sharp, and can lodge in the gums. The rubbish bin is the only place for bones, out of access to your furries. If you want to treat your pets this Christmas, please only get Pet safe treats from a good Pet shop or your Vet Clinic. Also remember, keep chocolate well out of reach too, as this is highly toxic. Keep your pets safe this Christmas, and stress free for everyone.

23.01.2022 Meet this little cutie Willow Willow has the most loving family, however, is experiencing anxiety in some parts of her life which ultimately affects her when she’s out and about. The aim for Willow is to change the way she perceives the world, as she responds with fear and anxiety, we want to assist her to build confidence around new people, new dogs & enjoy being out and about with her family. Needless to say, she’s a very sweet girl! Look at her pretty smile

15.01.2022 I’d like to introduce you all to Sonny! Sonny is an absolute ray of sunshine. Central West Animal Rescue contacted me regarding her aggression in October. After assessment, I could tell Sonny had been abused + neglected. She was very submissive and anxious, she would urinate due to anxiety, her confidence around dogs was non-existent and she had a very big fear of the car. After a week of boarding Sonny, I concluded with Central West Animal Rescue that I suspect she was an e...scape artist and the car was associated with trauma due to her refusal, anxiety and complete fear being near a car. Sonny had displayed aggression towards other dogs due to a lack of appropriate affection. She thought that once she bonded with ‘someone’ that someone was HERS & she needed to defend in the sake of purely attention. We corrected this, Sonny is a loving, caring and affection young girl, she now understands that despite there being maybe 3-8 dogs around at a time, her person, loves her. Sonny enjoys walking off leash, prior to this Sonny would run away and seek refuge wherever she could find (trauma response). Sonny now LOVES car rides, down to the river, for a big walk around town, to go to work with me or just to go for a sneaky drive through McDonald’s. She also adores kids! She’s not rough, she respects their space and if they display timidness towards her, she understands to keep her distance. This dog is amazing. In 2021, Sonny will have her forever home! We can’t wait to see the progress she continues to make.

13.01.2022 We’d like to wish everyone a safe & Merry Christmas from Orana Dog Training & Services. This year we embarked on a journey to help people & their dogs! We’ve had the pleasure of succeeding with many pack’s from the Central West all the way to the South Coast. We are grateful for the trust, the support and most of all the love for our companions. We all wish you a wonderful holiday season & best wishes for the New Year! Thank you, lots of love always, Nat, Mon & the pack.

11.01.2022 Meet young Milo! Milo is a little cutie! He was lucky to be adopted and is now super loved in the household, however, Milo is causing some headaches with his excess barking. He gets into such a fear-based aggressive state towards people walking past that he’s unable to bring himself back from it. Milo also has become quite defiant to his name and decides when he wants to engage with you. Our goal with Mr Milo is to build his confidence in this big wide world while also engaging his focus to be solely on his person. Changing the way Milo is use to reacting, to a state of calmness where he feels safe enough to be able to cognitively decide for himself without the fear deciding for him. He’s got such a big personality! We’re lucky to meet him.

08.01.2022 Look at Mr Cooper progress! I first met Cooper and was bitten. Our first session, Cooper wouldn’t come near me. ... When I first walked Cooper out of the dog park, he was triggered by a kid at the park and reacted so fearfully that he nearly choked himself out on the lead while I stood there maintaining a calm demeanour. I put in a lot of hard work, built a trustworthy relationship and reinforced that he is safe regardless of the surroundings to be able to maintain his behaviour and reaction to stimuli. This is Cooper, he’s a bloody good boy.

05.01.2022 We’re ready 2021! Ready to help some ‘bad’ dogs, ready to teach owners how to create stress-free relationships & most importantly - bring hope to people who’ve lost hope in their dogs.

03.01.2022 Dear clients, followers and general public, Meet Mattaya Ahsee. On Tuesday 5/1/21, Mattaya was walking home alongside his 3 mates and their Mother when tragedy struck in Wellington NSW. An unlicensed driver lost control of his Holden Commodore at speeds of around 150kms p/h and it ended with 2 of Mattaya’s mates losing their life. Mattaya pushed his other mate out of the way as the out of control vehicle approached them all. His friend sustained non-life threatening issue...s and was sent to Orange Hosptial because of the act of kindness Mattaya instinctively reacted. Mattaya was flown from Wellington to Sydney in a critical condition. Mattaya spent 9 hours in surgery, after being struck and trapped by the vehicle which completely shattered his left leg. 2 days later the doctors at Westmead Hospital decided it was best to amputate Mattaya’s leg. I’ve been speaking to Mattaya on a daily basis and despite the severity of reality, his family and Orana Dog Training & Services are sincerely happy he’s alive. We are asking for donations for Mattaya’s hospitalisation, rehabilitation and recovery when he eventually comes home. The goal of Mattaya’s family is to provide Mattaya with a prosthetic lower leg and provide him with the care and support he needs when he returns home. Please, we all ask your help. Thank you
