Residential aged care staff and residents are a priority under The Australian Government’s ... COVID -19 Vaccine-National Rollout Strategy and will be among the first people in Australia to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Phase 1a. COVID-19 vaccines will be safe and free for everyone residing in Australia. Here are the key points: Vaccines will be delivered to aged care homes and given in the home by a trained and skilled vaccinator. Vaccination is not compulsory but is strongly encouraged. 23.01.2022 Today we had the honour and privilege to celebrate Dorothy Robinson’s 100th birthday!!! Congratulations on reaching this incredible milestone!! We had some of her children, close relatives, friends, Mr. Ben Shields- Dubbo Mayor, and Mr. Tom Grey- RSL President. Lovely Dot has been a resident at Orana Gardens for 10 years and we couldn’t be more excited to have her as part of our Orana Gardens family!! Happy 100th BirthdayDot!!!

18.01.2022 Orana Gardens would like to thank The Rotary Club of Dubbo Macquarie, Peter McInnes and all who were engaged in making this project a success! Orana Gardens just received 70 headsets which will be used in our Special Care Unit- Dementia Unit. Residents will be able to enjoy their favourite songs from their era! We have no doubt, music therapy will enhance the residents overall wellbeing!

09.01.2022 Today we participated in the Wiradjuri Garden Walk Through with Ian McAlister-Dubbo Council’s Manager of Recreation and Open Space. The project is excellent as it integrates culture, history and most importantly our beautiful people! Our residents and Orana Gardens are truly honoured to partner with the Dubbo Council and to have this unique gem as our backyard!... Two of my favourite elements are the Rainbow Serpent and the Yarning Circle. A ‘History in the Making’ kind of day!!

09.01.2022 Orana Gardens is looking for a Volunteer Bus Driver! This is a great opportunity to share your abilities and enhance the lives of our seniors! The Volunteer bus driver would need a MR (medium rigid) license along with a good sense of humour! The men from our Estate go out to lunch the second Tuesday of each month in and around Dubbo. The outing lasts from 11:30-2pm approximately as residents usually go to a hotel/club for lunch. ... The Estate residents occasionally like a short trip out of town four or five per year.
