25.01.2022 The first Orange Runners Sunday Run for 2021 was held out Bulgas Road where Runners, Joggers and Walkers had the opportunity to shake off the Christmas and New Year Festivities over distances of 3km 5km 7.5km and 10km. If I did manage to miss getting you at some stage, sorry I will do it next time.

24.01.2022 Part Two from Sundays Fathers Day Run at Spring Creek Dam.

23.01.2022 Tomorrow's run is at Shiralee. The start is on the bend of Shiralee Road that forks off with Hawkes Lane. It is an out and back course with the option of one to three laps (4km, 8km & 12km). It has lovely water views and is pretty traffic free. Please start your run between 8.30am and 9.00am. Masks are encouraged before and after your run and social distancing is a must.

22.01.2022 The ORC uniform crew are adding four new items to the wardrobe range available for us runners. 4. Running Cap Yes folks it is here, at last we see the famous running cap added to the range. It is white in color (to keep cool) with the ORC logo on the front, trimmed with black and an air rated fabric.... It is hoped that many of you will purchase a cap as it too will assist with some sun protection. Although we are sure one or two of you may wear it Lleyton Hewitt style. Remember to write you names inside your hats, just in case it gets mislaid. Please order through this link https://www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?E=40997 or any questions see Kelly Gleeson or Kelly Jurd

22.01.2022 Todays Sunday Club Run was out on the new course at the Old Bloomfield Golf Club. Distances of 3.5km 7km 10.5km and 14km were on offer to Runners, Joggers and Walkers alike, with the longer 14km trip doubling as the Virtual City 2 Surf Run. Well done to everyone who took part. Today I managed a very casual 3.5km walk (don't check the time) taking heaps of photos of hopefully everybody at some stage during their journey around the course. I also tried out my new play toy today... so there are probably a few "repeat type" photos in here. Just remember "You Can Run But Can't Hide" now. Brian P.

11.01.2022 "Better late then never advice" COLD WEATHER RUNNING ESSENTIALS Dressing in layers is the key to running comfortably all winter. You can start the run feeling warm, then easily shed the layers as your body warms up and you need less clothing. Simply tie unneeded layers such as jackets or long sleeve shirts around your waist and keep running once youre warm, or plan a loop run so you can drop them off in a safe spotlike your carwhen you dont need them. Remember to put your... base layer on the bottom so as you strip layers off, the correct layer is underneath. When stocking up for the winter season, here are a few essentials you should fill your drawers with: Running tights or pants Long-sleeve tech shirts (wool or poly blend) to use as a base layer (depending upon winter temperatures in your area, you may need to invest in both a medium-weight and a heavy-weight base layer shirt) Running gloves or mittens Headband or hat A windproof running jacket Running socks (tech fabric or wool blend)
