19.01.2022 Central West Rugby Union have received a proposal from the ACT Brumbies to switch over to play under their administration, which means a potential move away from NSW Rugby and its pathways. The ACT Brumbies will be in Orange tonight to conduct a presentation at Orange Emus Clubhouse from 6.00pm. Questions can be asked and we can understand more of what is on offer. NSW Rugby will conduct a similar presentation on Wednesday 25th November also at the Emus Rugby Clubhouse from 6.00pm. There is a very significant decision to be made for CWRU. All clubs in CWRU will have a say in what happens next. All players and supporters are encouraged to attend.

13.01.2022 GRAND FINAL TICKETS SOLD OUT Unfortunately the tickets we were allocated for this years Blowes Cup grand final @Wade park have now sold out! 13.01.2022 Our Academy partners SLOCOACH are having a Black Friday Sale! Get coached by some rugby greats and save a bit of money at the same time! Win Win!

13.01.2022 Throw back Thursday and what better throw back, then to a man who knows all about grand finals, the lead up and what it takes to win. He changed our club and coached Orange City it’s way to 6 straight Premierships; 1988 to 1993. A record that still stands to this day! Introducing Brutus Hamling, who although started at Emus, by 1987 had seen the light. In 1988 Brocco asked him to come and coach first grade at Orange City. His response to that was You don’t do that in a coun...try town, change rugby clubs and you lose friends! Brocko’s response was You don’t have any friends anyway! So the partnership began. Charlie Brouwers interviewed him for the coaching position and the first question was why do you want to come to Orange City? I said I think I can win you some titles and the rest as they say, is history! Brutus not only has his granddaughters fiancé Rakai playing in 1st grade this weekend, but one of his grandsons played in under 12’s, continuing on the family tradition. Three of his sons also played for us and Jason is still a big part of our Club. A few words of wisdom from the man himself for both the playing group and the coaching staff. Players: Keep your cool, concentrate heavily on your own individual jobs and assert dominance over your opposite number, but also enjoy the moment. Coaching staff: Keep coaching how you have been all year, don’t change anything you are on a roll and the players are believing what you have been instilling in them all season. #tbt #orangecityfamily #grandfinalweek #ifyouveeverheardaroar

02.01.2022 Big Day for Randy and the City family. Unfortunately we went down in both Colts and 1st grade against our Cross town rivals. It was so good to see the Orange City Family out in force and getting behind our boys, and that’s what it’s all about! It was a good day to be a lion and we can hold our heads high, we gave it a good crack! We will be back bigger and better next year. #orangecityfamily #ifyouveeverheardaroar #brickbybrick #2020weareout

01.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart we announce the sad passing of one of our members Tim Sullivan. Tim was a strong supporter of Orange City as both his sons, Anthony (Sully) 310 games & Michael 43 games played. Tim was President of OCRC for consecutive years, 1995, 1996 & 1997. Tim was also co-Patron of OCRC during his time as Mayor of Orange City Council. Our condolences go out to the Sullivan family at this sad time.
