After a crazy 6 months and an increasing work flow we are relocating to work out of a space in the Orange Mechanical workshop on Bathurst Rd, making us more assessible to customers and taking the business to the next level. Thanks to everyone who has supported us and helped the business grow to get to this point, it is greatly appreciated.

22.01.2022 Another busy week this week = extra hours. Squeezing this job in for Shotgun performance transmissions, inbetween other jobs. This th400 was originally built as a full race transmission (no speedo drive) but the customers vehicle required the speedometer. With the customer being local I was lucky enough to be able to change the output shaft to suit the application on behalf of shotgun performance to save freighting the transmission backwards and forwards and getting it done faster for the customer. Although times might be tough on businesses its nice to know when these issues pop up that transmission shops can work together to get it sorted, and that they had the confidence and faith that it will be done properly.

19.01.2022 Aeroflow Performance Supercharged LSA Performance Upgrades Sale Do you have an LSA Supercharged engine under the hood of your ride? Did you know that Aero...flow Performance does a range of performance upgrades for these engines as well as the other LS motors? GM LSA Supercharger Water Fitting Adapters - For those wanting to add a touch of class and remove those factory OEM steel lines on the supercharger and replace them with some braided lines/AN options. These have been designed to simply attach straight to the supercharger and allows you to convert straight to -10AN or 5/8" barb. GM LSA Supercharger Water Filler Tee - The water filler tee is a unique billet piece that replaces the factory plastic item which is brittle and can fatigue over time. The added advantage being you cannot purchase the OEM item seperately and instead have to purchase the entire line kit which is a costly expense. LSA Supercharger Spacers - These spacers are designed to suit the GM LSA engine. This spacer sits underneath the stock supercharger and raises it by 10mm to provide better air flow to the rear cylinder banks. It removes the restriction in airflow which allows more air flow thus more horsepower to be gained along with the ability to reduce intake temperatures. LSA Isolator Coupler - This coupler installs as a direct replacement for the original. This is specifically designed to handle high boost and high load applications where the factory one can fail. LSA/LS3 Intake Spacers - These are designed to suit your GM LS3 style heads allowing you to bolt on the GM LSA supercharger or simply can be bolted onto your GM LSA engine.Being a thermo plastic material gives it the added benefit of reduced heat transfer as the supercharger is no longer sitting directly on top of the cylinder but rather 10mm above. LSA Gaskets - The LSA Intake Gasket kit includes one set of intake gaskets, one throttle body gasket, water pump gaskets & both supercharger gaskets. LSA Blower Hub & Pulleys - Increase the horsepower of your LSA engine with these blower pulleys. Available in 2.4" and 2.55" with matching blower hub sold seperately. Replace the factory pulley with the blower hub, then you can easily install either blower pulley depending on the boost you want to make. These pulleys have a textured anti-slip finish to enchance belt grip.The 2.55" pulley gives up to 2psi over stock and the 2.4" gives up to 4psi over stock. LS Series Intake Adapters - These are a billet 6061 aluminium intake adapters to bolt up any rectangle port intake or supercharger to your cathedral port heads. This means you can simply adapt an LSA blower or late model manifold to your early heads. VF LSA Cold Intake System - This cold air intake kit is a high performance air box designed as a direct fit for all VF Gen-F LSA 6.2L engines. Our kit contains a large Aeroflow performance pod filter to assist in minimizing the restriction of air flow and is contained in a fabricated housing which seals against the underside of the vehicles bonnet to reduce the intake of hot air from inside the engine bay. Universal Electric Water Pump - This compact brushless electric water pump is designed for universal fitment to compliment or replace a vehicles exisiting mechanical belt-driven water pump. This brushless design is a magnetically driven water pump which allows high flow of up to 46.6 litres per minute with the larger 1" barb and 40 litres per minute on the smaller 3/4" barb. LSA Fuel Rail - Aeroflow has developed a new billet fuel rail for the GM LSA Supercharged engine. It is a straight bolt on to use with 14mm factory injectors or aftermarket injectors. These return style fuel rails feature larger -8ORB dual inlets and dual outlets which have many benefits over the OEM dead end fuel rails which can cause hot start issues. Billet Thottle Bodies - Aeroflows billet throttle bodies are to suit the four bolt LS manifolds and allows the use of your factory TPS & Idle control units. 17.01.2022 A few pics of the sprag upgrade that went into the last th400. The right is the standard roller sprag and on the left is the 4l80e direct drum with 34 element hd sprag. An affordable upgrade that significantly increases the hp capacity for your th400. All parts are available off the shelf, no machining etc required.

11.01.2022 The "sleeper" 4l60e, left unpainted at customers request, looks stock on the outside but is far from it on the inside. Fitted out with a transgo stage 2 shift kit allowing manual control of the transmission as well as normal automatic shifts. Also prevents torque converter slip. corvette servo, billet servo cover and piston, ultra heavy duty reaction shell, updated front planetary shaft to run needle roller bearing, upgraded z-pak 3/4 clutch pack

10.01.2022 As you may have seen from the 4l60e post the other day, I upgraded the front planetary hub shaft to run a needle roller bearing replacing the standard thrust bearing along with the ultra heavy duty reaction shell. So what does that look like and what does it mean? Having the needle roller bearing increases the load capacity and in some cases less rolling resistance. The first image shows the difference between the 2 shafts (notice the step for the needle roller bearing on the rhs) and the second image shows the original set up with a thrust washer on the left and the upgraded needle roller on the right. An affordable upgrade for a performance 4l60e rebuild.

VE Calais torque converter change after it lost all drive, a common problem but if caught early can save the cost of a transmission rebuild for a period of time. 08.01.2022 4l60e rebuilt last week with transgo HD2 shift kit, z-pak 3/4 clutch upgrade, corvette servo, high energy band and ultra heavy duty reaction shell with torrington bearing. Along with a few other jobs, 30-40LE (Toyota Hilux) with ASNU transmission products servicing the torque converter and 4l60e standard rebuild.

07.01.2022 The team from A1 Towing helped us out today, by towing our very intensive restoration project to Orange Powder Coating to have the body cleaned up and ready to ...be epoxy primed and repaired when the vehicle returns to the workshop. The vehicle is a VC SLE Commodore with a 5.0L and all the luxury items fitted. It will be a ground up restoration using period correct parts, the aim here is to make the car look like it has just rolled off the production line. 06.01.2022 Another 4l60e, another failed 3/4 clutch pack. One of the worst Ive seen lately, the clutches had partially welded them selves to the front planetary ring gear making the input drum difficult to remove.

T700 base rebuild with zpak 3/4 clutch set up and Aeroflow deep pan and kick down cable, ASNU transmission products torque converter with 2200 rpm stall and TCI fill tube & dipstick.... Th400 rebuilt with direct drum and 34 element sprag upgrade, Raybestos st1 performance frictions through out, full manual conversion standard pattern with Aeroflow deep oil pan.
