22.01.2022 Who remembers THE SPUD MAN John Streatfield? He was a stallholder, and a big character, at the market for a long time but now he's retired from growing potatoes. Hear his story with Ewan from ABC Central West here... https://www.abc.net.au//potato-farmer-john-strea/12553664

16.01.2022 LAUNCHING AT THE MARKET THIS SATURDAY Forget the tired stereotype of the centuries old rivalry between Scotland and England. Shrug off the newer, but no less passionate so-called enmity between Bathurst and Orange. Squabbles over the relative merits of spirits v beer? Nah! SYMPATICO brings together in symmetry and sympathy each of these worlds.... Having entered their corresponding universes, Ian Glen, (Scot, Bathurst local and head distiller at Stone Pine) and Jon Shiner (Pom, Orange local and head brewer at Badlands) now bridge the gap in a sympathetic harmony of gin and beer. Stone Pine’s Double IPA hopped Gin is infused with Lemondrop and Motueka hops from the Badlands’ hop store together with botanicals Lemon Myrtle, Coriander, Juniper and Angelica to deliver a robust hopped spirit that blurs the lines between gin and beer. In a collaborative first, Badlands’ SYMPATICO Gin Botanical Double IPA is infused with the same botanicals and hops as the gin. The beer mirrors the complex and nuanced flavours of the gin and is an exciting opportunity to compare and contrast the two releases. Both beer and gin will be launched at the Orange Farmers Market this Saturday!

16.01.2022 Meet Ruth. She and her husband attended last months’ market with their truffles. These truffles usually make their way overseas but, thanks to COVID, they’re staying right here for us to enjoy. With an extremely short season, Pinnacle Rd Truffles will be back for this month only so make sure you find Ruth this Saturday at the market!

14.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who attended our Masked Market, and to Rotary Daybreak for helping out. It was great to see so many stallholders and shoppers with masks, and the mask-less considering others and distancing themselves. We look forward to seeing you all at the next market in September (Spring isn’t far away!!!) #orangefarmersmarket @ Orange, New South Wales

12.01.2022 It’s only water! Don’t let it stop you from enjoying a hot bacon & egg roll and a coffee this morning at the market. We’re at Northcourt until midday today and would love to see you!

06.01.2022 ROBIN'S READY!! Are you ready for this Saturday's market?! Held at the Naylor Pavilion at the Showground, we encourage you to bring a bag (or buy one of ours), wear a mask and get ready to support local growers and producers. Almost all stallholders take card but we suggest you bring some cash along too for a bag of oranges, or a box of veggies. See you there!!
