23.01.2022 Taken from this months Lismore newsletter Some reasons that Lapidarists will be really good at social distancing. have often donned earmuffs, masks and/or goggles to stand at a machine for hours, totally oblivious of the world around.... Spend days wandering around remote countryside looking for rocks, totally away from the rest of the small group, who are all doing the same thing. Spend hours in sheds all alone. Have lots of lovely glittery shiny things around the house to delight them even when self-isolated. Stay well and happy, fellow rockhounds. Spend the time sorting your collections ready to start afresh when the world becomes normal again. See more

20.01.2022 Hi everyone our next Saturday is 24 October, then 7 November.Will update you when I find out if the Cultural Center open day is still going ahead. Remember there's 11 weeks to Xmas so please do not leave it to the last weeks to make those Xmas presents. Happy lapidary.

11.01.2022 Hi all, hope you are all well and designing your next lapidary project. I have been ripping up carpet and have now finished, so stone carving and lapidary projects here I come.
08.01.2022 Good news everyone, Start back on Wednesday 17 June 9am, at this point we can only have 13 +two instructors in the club rooms, will have all the gear to go with covid-19 restrictions set up by then and all the maintenance done as well. Saturday class will be 20 June starting at 9 am till 3.30pm, at this stage Saturday number game will be the same as Wednesday. So bring more that one job to do/complete as in grinding - metal work - soldering- wire wrapping - beading- faceting. Time limits will be set on grinding & faceting & soldering depending on numbers wanting to use the workstations. Will let you all know if things change. Happy lapidary days here we come.

03.01.2022 Hi Everyone Hugh is doing wind chimes out of spoons this Saturday, interested people please bring some of your old spoons with you, if not Hugh will have some. The Cultural open day has been cancelled. This Saturday is also a normal work day so hope to see you there, 9am to 2pm.
02.01.2022 Hi everyone, we cannot open till Orange City Council gives us the OK,as we rent the two rooms off them and there are more that one organisation/club using the building. Three lapidary clubs in the state have restarted back but they are in building by themselves and can control covid 19 restrictions and members only, no public access. Will keep you up to date to when we can restart.
