25.01.2022 Anna and Shaun are committed and loving parents to Claudia. They appreciate the value of family and are known for random acts of significant generosity. During the Summer, Anna and Shaun spend every Sunday morning at Bondi Beach Nippers with Claudia. Claudia swims, surfs and runs with the best of them.... When Claudia was born she needed a new kidney to stay strong. Shaun donated his. What a nice dad.

24.01.2022 Rosa thinks nothing of driving to the Blue Mountains from Sydney to provide comfort to a sick friend. In her role as a social educator she shows her clients with Down Syndrome and Autism much love and attention. She has a kind spirit and is much loved by all especially her dad.

23.01.2022 Camille heading out to celebrate Kelsie's birthday on a school holiday Monday night. Pizza at Brighton Le Sands at Bondi Pizza, a long way from Bondi. #bondipizza #shorthair

15.01.2022 Hannah enjoys nurturing the world, herself, family and friends. She grows and buys organic veges, herbs and plants and warns us about chemical trails and Monsanto growing genetically modified crops. Hannah is close to nature and creates beautiful things. She brings great joy to peoples lives.... Hannah strives for inner peace in a world where sometimes peace is hard to find. Hannah has lived many other lives before Hannah created the Orange Painting.

12.01.2022 Camille and her friends are off, on their now annual pilgrimage, to the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. They go for the spectacle of course but being millennials they inherently understand the importance of promoting community inclusiveness and are fully aware they are also bearing witness. Even though they think those terms belong to another generation. They wouldn't miss it and are getting there early to ensure a good view of the parade.... Happy Mardi Gras Sydney. #mardigras #mardigras2017 #SGLMG #sydneymardigras

08.01.2022 Michael rides a large motor bike and goes on long road trips through regional Australia. He writes a blog on his adventures but doesn't have any followers but that's the way he likes it. Two years ago a sheep ran onto the road whilst Michael was going very fast. Michael thought he was going to die. The sheep did die and after coming to a screeching halt Michael was thrown from the bike and luckily only broke a few ribs and the bike.... Michael still considers his circa 1994 Mambo shirt the height of surf ware fashion. Denise is on a mission of self awareness. Writing highly personal poetry, painting in her studio and meditating in the garden. Denise surrounds herself with like minded people who support each other and strive to make their world a more caring, thoughtful and connected place without relying upon the Internet to do it for them. Denise is a happy person and loves to laugh. #mamboaustralia #regmombassa

04.01.2022 Sophie has lived in New York for 16 years and visits Australia as often as she can. Her two children Olive and Eggy are true New Yorkers although they treasure their Australian heritage. Sophie's dad Simon settled in Australia after leaving the UK as a young man.... They are true global citizens. Sophie is a renowned illustrator. She recently won the coveted USA based Caldecott Medal for best children's book illustration. The book, Finding Winnie is the story about the real life bear that inspired Winnie the Pooh. The Caldecott Medal is the equivalent of winning an Oscar. Sophie also represents UNICEF and the Gates Foundation in the developing world using illustration to visualise complex messages around health and education to better the life of children and their communities. Sophie feels very privileged to make a living doing the things she loves: drawing, travelling and hanging out with children.

03.01.2022 Sonia, Jamella and Samira are sisters. They have three bothers, Mustafa, Sam and Jo. Their dad, Morris, immigrated to Australia in the 1950's and alongside thousands of other migrants toiled on the ground breaking civil engineering Snowy Mountain Scheme. Their mum, Hosnieh, died whilst the three girls were teenagers growing up in Cooma NSW. ... On one voyage to Australia from Lebanon the sisters, unbeknown to them, were smuggling into gastronomically bland Australia rag dolls stuffed with Lebanese thyme. Contraband prepared by their aunties and cousins staying behind in the family village. On the agricultural banned list at the time Lebanese thyme is the essential ingredient in the making of Zaatar, a Lebanese staple that is mixed with olive oil, spread over loaves of flat bread and toasted. Like Vegemite, you can't move country without it. The Hassan's, now in their third generation, make up the rich fabric of multi-cultural Australia via a broad range of careers as teachers, writers, librarians, artists, costumiers, IT Managers, accountants and public servants.

02.01.2022 Merry Christmas from the Orange Painting Project.

02.01.2022 Rosa turned 23 the same week Donald Trump is elected President. I don't know why that is significant. It just is. Regardless of who is running the free world we head off to Thai Rim Nam on the banks of the Georges River to celebrate. A family selfie, including the lovely John, Rosa's boyfriend, to mark the occasion. It's a balmy spring Sydney evening, a long way from the American rust belt. In the corner of the restaurant I noticed an increasingly drunk ageing local raising ...his voice. Openly and unbelievably he was slandering the first Australians and later on in the evening, multiculturalism. The two great pillars of Australian society. Thankfully his fellow diner was vigorously rebutting his prejudices. Before long he was joined by another emboldened diner, the two of them celebrating the Trump victory. Happy Birthday Rosa. Welcome to an uncertain future.
