21.01.2022 Greenfields Development Company (GDC) have completed works on the road connection from Peter Brock Drive to Springfield Road. This new piece of road infrastructure will provide another connection for Oran Park Town and will benefit residents travelling via Camden Valley Way. With Oran Park Drive getting busier, GDC recognised the importance of providing another connection to Camden Valley Way, in advance of the future Catherine Fields precinct being redeveloped. With this in... mind, GDC purchased the adjoining land bordering Oran Park Town to enable a private road to be constructed connecting Peter Brock Dive to Springfield Road. To complete this connection, Camden Council have programmed upgrade works to be undertaken in Springfield Road from 23 November to 28 November 2020, with linemarking to be completed by 4 December, subject to weather conditions. Council has advised that these works are not linked to recently completed Rickard Road alignment investigation undertaken by Transport for NSW, as part of future residential development in this area. We will provide another update once Council has completed their upgrade works and the new connection is open. We thank residents for their patience. Business is ongoing, our community programme is ongoing albeit with a different approach. During this current pandemic Greenfields Development Companys main priority is the health and well-bei...ng of our customers, residents, staff, and their loved ones. Due to COVID-19, we have continued to conduct business by adopting different procedures to stop the spread of COVID-19. Most of our staff are working remotely from home. However, we do have some staff working in our Sales and Information Centre and on site. The Sales Centre has implemented procedures which include encouraging people to make contact by phone or email. If a service can not be provided online then a visitor must book an appointment to see a sales person by completing a Disclosure Form. Maximum two people at a time in the Sales Centre. Social distancing responsibilities will apply. Our sales team can cater for most sales enquiries and information. Reservations for lots can be made over the phone. The NSW Department of Education want the communitys help with naming and forming the identity of the new primary school, currently referred to as the Catherine Field Primary School. The current proposal is to name the school Catherine Field Public School, however we believe this name can be confusing as the school is located in the suburb of Oran Park, so we have suggested alternative names to the Department which reflect the schools... location and history and are in keeping with the Departments naming convention. The names we are suggesting are: South Creek Public School named after South Creek which runs to the east of the school Oran Park South Public School different variation named after South Creek which also includes the suburb name Kolombo Public School named after Kolombo Creek which runs to the north of the school and also recognising Oran Parks dairy farming history To provide your input and provide your own suggestions we encourage residents to complete the brief survey which will take 5-10 minutes to complete. : https://forms.microsoft.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx This is also your opportunity to provide input into the vision, values and motto for the new school.
