23.01.2022 Happy 2016 from the Orara River Rehabilitation Project! We will have more regular updates this year for you all with much interesting information. If you visit Heritage Park at Coramba (near the bridge) you will learn about some of the fish species found in the Orara River. The last comprehensive survey in 2012-13 found over 20 species of fish in the Orara River, with the Coramba Bridge site recording the highest species richness in the entire Clarence River system. In this workshop participants will be introduced to some of the common plants that occur along the Coffs Coast. We will look at major species and their identifying features, roles, seed collection and propagation. Notes will be provided. We will look at dunal, littoral rainforest and headland coastal plant communities. Some walking will be involved. 04.01.2022 TROPICAL SODA APPLE CONTROL WORKSHOPS This weekend at the Nana Glen Market Day (Sat 9th April), we are holding 2 workshops on how to control Tropical Soda Apple. Presented by Alan Wray, participants will learn how to identify and eradicate this State-prohibited weed. Two half-hour workshops are being presented at 9:30 am and again at 10:15 am. There will be handouts and information to take home, and lots of opportunity to ask questions.... The Market Day is being held at the Nana Glen Memorial Hall from 8am until 12pm, Saturday 9th April.
