21.01.2022 Legends, check this out! From today Facebook are rolling out Business Suite which lets you post to FB and Insta at the same time! If you’ve got an Insta account connected to your page you can now select from a dropdown menu when you’re posting to include Instagram. Cool huh! You’ll also have all your messages in one inbox (watch for WhatsApp to be added soon) and more insights to monitor what’s working across your platforms. Let us know if you’re seeing this in your pages yet.



20.01.2022 Be careful. We’re seeing lots of reports, in all our FB marketing groups, of ad accounts being banned, Business Manager accounts being disabled and people having their personal profiles restricted from advertising or being appointed as an admin on any pages or ad accounts. If you’re using FB ads to drive sales, this could be a real problem. ... While there are avenues for appeal, more appeals than normal are being denied and even if it’s upheld it can take days, or longer... Why is this happening? It’s election time in the US so all the systems are dialled up to 1,000,000% So, read the advertising rules. If you’ve read them read them again. Stick to them. Also, make sure you have more than one admin in your Business Manager so at least someone has access. And set up a second ad account ( use different credit cards) and second Business Manager. Need help? Just ask...

20.01.2022 'But why do I need to create more than 1 ad?' This is why. This is an ad for an ecommerce client. It's an ad to cold audiences and as you can see, one ad is giving them a ROAS (return on ad spend) of 5.1 meaning for every dollar in ad spend they make $5.21 in sales. When retargeting starts that will only increase. The others (which have now been switched off) weren't generating sales at all. Imagine if you'd only set up one ad, and it wasn't the one that vibed with your audi...ence? This is why it's so important to split test your ads. 3 is a minimum. Now we'll retarget people who abandoned the cart, or just had a look at the product but didn't go through with a sale.

Yeah, we hear it all the time. The reality is that asking someone to buy your product or service without taking the time to build a relationship is like asking someone to marry you on the first date. It'll work maybe one time in a thousand. More likely, it'll get you labelled as a stage 5 clinger and send people runni...ng the other way. Marketing is exactly the same. Taking the time to build a brand and build trust earns you the right to make a sales pitch. We were fortunate to be asked to record this for a Small Business Month panel recently that included other local business owners and the NSW Minister for Small Business, Damian Tudehope. Its why were involved with the chamber of commerce, why weve chosen to build our own business locally rather than take on the world (thats coming though...) and why were now launching this exciting new promotion to help support the area where we live. 12.01.2022 Got campaigns that aren’t delivering results? It could be time to try some new copy and images. Look at the massive performance difference in these ads. The reach is effectively the same but the second campaign has generated 3 times the response at one third the cost per action. To get this result we tested longer and shorter copy, a number of different images and 2 different offers. ... We refreshed the audiences we’d successfully used for this client before and relaunched the campaign and it’s crushing it again!! The key point here is to test multiple audiences, types of copy, images and offers until you find a combination that works!

08.01.2022 This is the first step in building a retargeting stack. A video views campaign with content designed to help and educate the audience. Step two (going live tomorrow) will be more of a call to action designed to initiate a conversation where the prospect can be engaged and ultimately converted in a fully qualified lead. This campaign is building a warm audience at the rate of about 400 people per day. We usually aim for an audience of 1200-1500 before starting the retargeting. Questions? HMU in the comments.

07.01.2022 Lets talk Facebook pixels for a minute... By now most people using Facebook ads know they should have the pixel (tracking code) installed on their website. So far so good. ... The problem is that most people dont know they also need to install event codes if theyre going to get maximum benefit. And whats frustrating is their web developers dont seem to know this either, or dont bother telling them. Were seeing a ton of websites lately with base pixels installed but no way of tracking the specific pages people are spending time on, who abandoned their cart, initiated a contact form but didnt complete it and therefore no real way of creating quality retargeting audiences. On top of this, without event codes its much harder to optimise for specific conversions (such as downloads or purchases) and so your ad delivery is less targeted. So, when you install your pixel be sure to install the event codes, set up dynamic custom audiences and youll enjoy a better return on your ads spend.

It’s about ensuring your ads are delivered to the audience most likely to do ‘the thing’ we want them to do Looking at the analytics is a good place to start. We’ll look at who is responding to your ads, are they actually converting into clients or subscribers and is the cost per action profitable and sustainable We’ll then direct more of your budget to that audience.... It’s an ongoing process but key to ensuring the performance and profitability of a campaign. Here we can see guys are more likely to become our leads, and the leads are actually cheaper. The product this client sells is a high ticket item so these results are both really good outcomes, but you can easily see the difference and how we could change the targeting if required We also look at other demographics but importantly we test various psychographic segmentation as well
