25.01.2022 Leading up to the weekend we have another recipe to share... This time, a cocktail recipe from our friends at The Savoy, London! The Hanky Panky. Bar manager Ada Coleman created this twist on a martini at The Savoys American Bar in the 1920s, where its been a classic ever since. Tip: If you dont regularly drink Fernet Branca, most bottle shops stock aeroplane size bottles; one is enough for ten cocktails.... 1 oz. gin 1 oz. sweet vermouth 1 bar spoon (or teaspoon) Fernet Branca Orange rind for garnish Stir ingredients well in a mixing glass with ice and strain into a chilled glass. 15.01.2022 Since we cant visit the Rosewood London Hotel at the moment, theyve shared their scrumptious recipe for Plain Scones - courtesy of their executive pastry chef Mark Perkins. Now you can bring a touch of England to your home! Ingredients: 500 grams soft flour 25 grams baking powder... 5 grams salt 120 grams sugar 75 grams unsalted butter 150 grams buttermilk 2 whole eggs 1 egg yolk Preparation: Mix together flour, baking powder and salt Rub the butter into the flour with your hands until everything is combined Mix eggs and buttermilk together; add to the flour and mix until a dough is formed Dust the work surface with flour and gently work the dough until a smooth consistency is created Roll the dough to 1.5 centimetres thick Cut out using a floured pastry cutter Place on a baking tray lined with parchment Brush each scone with egg yolk (try not to get any drips down the sides of the scone) Rest in the fridge for one hour Brush each scone with egg yolk a second time Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes Enjoy!
