06.01.2022 Day 3 of our Tassie Adventure had us travelling south to Port Arthur through some stunning scenery. We experienced the Wheel Of Fate Signature Experience with our fantastic guide Colin, who is almost part of the furniture of Port Arthur. We have a beautiful lunch inside the visiting magistrates house with local wines and delicious local lamb. We then had the joy of visiting Unzoo nearby to see retired Tasmania Devils in a safe sanctuary free of the facial cancers that hav...e affected the main population. It was great watching them feed and to see totally wild birds fly in for a feed was a real treat, along with the dozens of Kangaroos and Pademelons living and visiting the sanctuary. 04.01.2022 Day 2 of our Tassie Adventure us join the amazing @pennicottjourneys for their Seafood Seduction Day trip to Bruny Island. If you're a seafood lover then this tour is for you - fresh oysters & crays, local smoked & fresh salmon feature on the all day grazing menu along with freshly caught wild abalone and sea urchins being a highlight. Our guides Tim & Hugh treated us to a non-stop informative comdey show tellingh the history and stoires of the local area and teaching us abo...ut the fresh produce avaialble with Tim braving the 12 degrees water to collect a bag of urchin and a couple of plump abalone with buy guys preparing & cooking the catch in a number of way to show off the super fresh produce. This tour should be on everty foodie and seafood lovers #ToDoList and i cannot reccomend it highly enough. One of our Leisure Specialist, Aaron, has been lucky enough to have a very last minute trip to Tasmania with Tourism Australia. Aaron says "Great arrival into Hobart with quick Covid questions and straight onto our bus with Premier Travel Tasmania. We headed through Hobart and out to Mount Nelson Signal Station for a fantastic lunch of Seafood Chowder, Fish & Fish and Salad. It was then up ...the towering Mount Wellington / kunanyi for a wintering blasted magical view from the top. We then did a quick Hobart oritintaion tour before checking into our accomdation for the next few nights The Islington. A boutique property that just oozes charm.
