25.01.2022 Fantastic job today by Jarrod and Michael from OGPS and Darren and Jason from the Whitehorse Mustang Basketball Club. We now have a new basketball backboard setup in the Wicking Gym that can be raised and lowered. This will be wonderful for the children, both in training for the Mustangs Club and for our students too. In addition, we had the outside basketball backboards replaced. The old ones were past their use-by date, and it will be terrific for our Year 3-6 students to use when they return on the 9th of June. They will love it! Certainly a win-win for the Mustangs and OGPS - thank you Whitehorse Mustangs Basketball Club, for installing these excellent basketball rings in our GYM and to Jarrod and Michael for assisting and replacing our old backboards on the outside courts. Great team work!

23.01.2022 Thank you very much to our community for collecting Woolworths Earn and Learn stickers. We collected 45999 stickers and were able to order some LEGO Robotics kits and some Count Away Maths Timers. All in all about $2500 worth! Thank you SO much!

We hope you are enjoying your Easter eggs. ... Did you know your foil Easter egg wrappers are recyclable? Please collect all your wrappers and scrunch them into a bigger ball and put them in your yellow recycling bin. They can be recycled and turned into an aluminium can, more foil, an aluminium baseball bat or a toy. Thank you!

We would love to be able to donate at least 30 of these filled shoeboxes which will go directly to some of Melbourne's homeless. These can be placed outside Mrs King's office. It is thoughtful story and a great way to open discussion with your child about being in lockdown The message is positive and to encourage us to keep a level of optimism and positivity, knowing that we are all feeling the same way and we will come out of this. 08.01.2022 Thank you to those parents that could spare some time this morning to come along and help us at the working bee. We really appreciate the help. The playgrounds have new Softfall, keeping them safe for all the climbing that takes place. The sandpit is topped up for the term, for the building of the important castles and cooking that takes place at recess and lunch. Also our trees got mulched to allow them to cope with all the footfall that impacts the earth around them, impacting their root systems. These are important jobs that are done termly and we need parent help to pull them off. Our next working bee is Saturday 2nd May - save the date and come along!

06.01.2022 Well after day 2, what a pleasure it is to report that we have had a wonderful restart to school for our F-2 students. The staggered starts through the various gates worked beautifully and it was terrific to see this being done with excellent social distancing by our families. There is no doubt the children were thrilled to be back and the smiling faces and wonderful greetings were a testament to that. Well done OGPS. As usual our community shines!

05.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We are so excited to be going back to school tomorrow and just to make us all feel a little better, we have installed wall pump hand sanitiser outside each classroom and scattered across our buildings. The children will easily be able to sanitise on the way in and the way out of the classroom. Together with bottles of sanitiser on tables, we will be well and truly covered. A huge thank you to those families that have already donated sanitiser and please contin...ue to bring in bottles tomorrow for use in your childs classroom. Together we can make our school as safe as possible. Dont forget to send along refillable water bottles with your child, as the water bubblers will be out of action. 02.01.2022 Working Bee Blitz for the Fiesta Wednesday 23rd October at 6.30pm With the Fiesta only days away, there will be a special evening Working Bee on this Wednesday Night. Meet Drew Sinclair at the steps in front of the office at 6:30pm. Bring your own broom, shovel and wheelbarrow. We will be cleaning and tidying up in preparation for the Fiesta on Friday. We would really appreciate as many volunteers as possible to make it a much quicker process. Thanks for all your support.... There will still be the normal Working Bee on Sunday 17 November.

A virtual school tour, showcasing why OGPS stands apart from other schools and why we are such a good choice when families are looking for a local primary school. Ryan OHehir, father of 2 of our young students at OGPS, is filming and producing this for us. With Ryans amazing vision for the project and the combination of his p...erspective and skill set as a professional through his business Rybazoid and as a parent, we are looking forward to seeing what he creates on our behalf.
