21.01.2022 We thank-you for your patience as we work through this latest restriction in the Greater Brisbane area. For the time being we have decided to postpone our group classes by 2 weeks. Monday classes will commence on 25th Jan and Friday classes will commence on 29th Jan. Private lessons will continue as normal, but all participants are asked to wear masks until 1am 22nd January 2021. Please remember that all visitors to the studio need to register with our QR code. Please let us know if you are not able to do this and we will provide an alternative form of contact tracing. 21.01.2022 POSTPONED: Latin Technique Class & Ladies Solo Latin class NEW START DATE: Thursday 28th January You will have seen that there are ongoing restrictions in Brissy over the next few weeks. As per Bec’s earlier post we will be postponing classes, this will also include Justin and Amy’s classes for technique on Thursday nights and Amy’s solo ladies class on a Thursday afternoon. We can’t wait to see you all again but your health and safety is of utmost importance to us. J&A

From this point forward every visitor to the studio (students, teachers, family members, visitors) will need to sign in with 2 points of contact information. 11.01.2022 Our Gala Spectacular on the 19th September will be live streamed. This will be free for dancers and spectators who have already paid an entry fee or purchased a ticket. As there are 2 sessions, this will allow you to view the whole night either live or in playback. If you are not a ticket holder and would like to gain access to the live stream, we kindly ask you to make a $5 donation which will be used to sponsor entry to the Revolution Dance Festival for Under 16 competitors. 11.01.2022 Gala Spectacular Update - Due to Covid number restrictions we have had to split the night into 2 sessions (approximately 25-30 events in each session). I will post at the studio a rough draft of the program, so you can see which session you will need to attend. This is subject to change as we continue to finalise entries and spectator tickets. At this stage the first session will run 6-7:30pm and the second session will run 8-9:30pm. This gives us a chance to clean the studio before the second intake of people. We will endeavour to live stream the event, so that you have the opportunity to watch all the dancers on the night. I will be in touch with all dancers and spectators this week, to finalise seating numbers and entry fees. Thanks for your patience, Bec.

08.01.2022 Saturday 19th is going to be a big day! There are still a few things to sort out so please stay tuned for more info across the week. Here a few pointers to co...nsider. Medals - We now have 26 medals to complete so this will be starting at 12pm and going through until approximately 3pm. I will post the running order tonight. Gala - This is now being run in 2 sessions. There are now 54 Showdance events over the entire evening and we thank everyone for their enthusiasm and for getting involved so wholeheartedly. Seats have already been allocated to observe social distancing and we are now at our maximum numbers for both sessions. Change rooms will be upstairs, but where possible we ask you to come dressed and ready for your events. Please dont use the toilets and shower for changing. Session 1 starts at 6pm sharp and dancers can arrive early to warm up. At the conclusion of Session 1 we will be asking everyone to vacate the building quickly so we can do a room clean, before Session 2 commences at 8pm. We kindly ask Session 2 dancers not to arrive before 7:30 and to wait outside until the front doors are opened so we do not exceed our Covid numbers. If you havent done so, please send through your music (pre-cut and set to the correct speed). All music will be played off the one device to save time as we have a very tight program. Also please let Bec or Amy know 3 interesting pieces of information about your dance career for the MC to use in the programme. The event will be livestreamed for those who cant make it. I will release some details about that very soon.

08.01.2022 2020 ADS Revolution Dance Festival Update: Hi Everyone, hope you are all staying well and back in your studios training hard! A little further information regar...ding the event. The day will be run in 3 sessions. This is necessary to facilitate the operating rhythm to comply with the COVID plan. Session 1: Masters - All (Rec, Amateur,ProAm,Teacher Student/ProStudent) Session 2: Under 16 - All (this includes ProAm, Teacher Student/Pro Student) Session 3: Youth/Adult - All (this includes ProAm, Teacher Student/Pro Student) We are running this to ensure that our higher risk group are run first off in the day. We hope that you understand that this is going to be a differently run day, and this new format is to support our dancers, volunteers and officials and compliance with the required plan. Between each session the ballroom and the Change room/marshalling area will be required to be cleared to be cleaned. Spectator tickets will be be available PER SESSION. This will make sure that we are able to give as many people as possible a chance to be in the Ballroom. A link will be up later today to purchase tickets. Finally, start and finish times will be released once we have all entries in. Please remember that unless the entries are paid for, the entry is invalid. Entries close on the 23rd October, and no late entries and payments can be accepted after this date. More details to follow!!
