02.01.2022 Hello to our wonderful supporters! Today I’m bringing you a profile of our new co-secretary of the committee and concertmaster for the first concert of the year, Tom Anderson! Hi, my name is Tom! I am currently starting my first year at RMIT, studying a bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering (Computer and Network Engineering), having completed year 12 at St Joseph’s College at the end of last year. I have been playing violin for a number of years now, becoming increasi...ngly involved in groups and community orchestras (such as Orchestra Geelong!) as I have furthered in my playing. I find that violin is a great way for me to relax and unwind, as well as an amazing opportunity to meet other similar-minded people, to produce quality music for both ourselves and others! Orchestra Geelong has been an incredible way for me to further my skills in an orchestral setting, providing me with experiences and other musicians which would have otherwise been impossible for me to obtain on my own. The orchestra is full of talented and friendly individuals who all are able to teach and learn off each other, providing a rich and nurturing environment for all the members regardless of their experience. I hope that you enjoy this upcoming concert that we have prepared for you over the last few weeks, and I urge you to seriously consider buying tickets, it’s a show not to be missed! Tickets can be purchased through the TryBooking link here: https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=604171 For more details please look at the event pinned to the top of our Facebook page
