11.01.2022 Performed with the NQ Chamber Orchestra on Sunday in the wonderful new Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC). The acoustics in the studio are great. Look forward to performing there again in the not too distant future. The program included the Australian Premier of Colibri (Hummingbird) by Eugene Magalif. What a wonderful piece. I look forward to also having the opportunity of performing his Flute Concerto.

11.01.2022 Members of Orchid will be performing as part of the NQ Chamber Orchestra at their concert 'Classical Celebration' on SUNDAY MARCH 10 at Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) .Featuring flautist Jane Linstead as soloist. Jane will perform Haydn’s Concerto in D major plus an exciting contemporary work for Flute and Strings Colibri (Hummingbird) by Magalif. The NQ Chamber Orchestra will also perform two very popular works in the String repertoire including Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart and Serenade for Strings by Elgar.

09.01.2022 Orchid Trio performed at the beautiful St Mary's by the Sea Port Douglas this afternoon. Requests included 'Thousand Years' for the Brides arrival. Couple walked out to our arrangement of Viva La Vida ( love that piece.)

07.01.2022 Orchid Quartet performed at beautiful wedding on Friday at St Mary's by the Sea, Port Douglas. Great fun performing the couples requests which included traditional pieces like Bach's Air on a G String & Pachelbel's Canon to more recent pieces like Love Story by Taylor Swift & Halo by Beyonce. Congratulations Silvia & John.
