23.01.2022 The Prime Minister announced that the de-confinement process has reached its final and decisive stage as public beaches and a host of popular activities reopen to the Mauritian public on Monday 15 June. The island, recently acclaimed by the World Travel & Tourism Council as a #SafeDestination, is actively working on the reopening of its borders. As of today, borders remains closed until 31.8.2020. 22.01.2022 "Under phase 2 of the Mauritius Covid plan, partial opening of the Mauritian borders will occur at the beginning of October. Phase 3 (full opening) is expected in early November. Following a declaration made by the Prime Minister of Mauritius, the island will be moving towards Phase 2 with regards to the partial opening of the borders on 1 October 2020. As a reminder, Mauritius has been Covid-free since May 2020, while the borders of Mauritius have been closed since 20 March ...2020 with the exception of repatriation flights for Mauritian citizens. Imported cases are being effectively identified and isolated in quarantine. Four categories of people will be allowed to come to Mauritius after 1 October 2020, in the following order of preference: 1. Mauritian citizens still abroad 2. Individuals with a resident status 3. Individuals working in Mauritius 4. Visitors who are coming to the island for more than 14 days."

12.01.2022 A class 2 cyclone warning didn't dampen Deborah's and Johann's wedding yesterday in the west coast. With a cloudy sky comes soft diffused light and a light breeze adds motion to hair and dresses, as opposed to a harsh glare from the sand if it were a sunny and hot December. 11.01.2022 Rémi and Caroline from Réunion Island, booked us on our first meeting a year and a half ahead of that popular auspicious date of 18th August 2018. It was Rémi who found us online and loved our work. On that same day, 2 weddings were booked on the spot, (a very astute move because we went on to decline over 10 possible bookings for that specific date in August), the first one would be their civil wedding in Réunion Island and followed by a church and beach wedding in Mauritiu...s where Caroline's mother was born. After their intimate civil wedding in Réunion, they flew in for a party of 200 guests from all around the world to the prestigious St Regis with the iconic Le Morne mountain overlooking the resort. The atmosphere was filled with kindness, craziness, laughter and tears; a perfect reflection of the couple's characters. A surprise song for the bride by her groom and a same day edit video of the day were the emotional moments of the night. To top it off in a true destination wedding style, a sundowner white-themed beach after-party finished off the celebration the next day. 08.01.2022 Orchid Studio COVID-19 Weddings and Bookings Notice : - All of our weddings bookings are maintained for 2020 unless the wedding is postponed. - Postponed/Change of date weddings: All booked and fully paid for weddings which have been postponed will be covered with no additional fees, doesn't matter if the date is next year or 6 years later. - Postponed weddings will have top priority over the choice of a later date as much as possible.... - We usually only take a small number of weddings a year, so as a result we still have plenty of availability for the second half of 2020. - Editing and deliverables : The Studio is running normally with no interruptions to our edits and deliverables. We had already implemented a work from home and remote office workflow years ago. - We understand that couples who are getting married this year are going through stressful times, I'm just a phone call or a whatsapp text away and we promise to be as accommodating as possible to your requests and questions.
