25.01.2022 What a pretty puppy!

20.01.2022 Monday motivation - Make today your day!

18.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we must say goodbye to a wonderful, dedicated & very passionate woman. At Orchid Valley Vets, we saw Barb often. We saw her with her own animals, as well as the wildlife, mainly possums & gliders, that she was so passionate about helping. Barb was extremely knowledgeable, and so dedicated to ensuring these creatures got a go at life when they found themselves in trouble. Barb was a huge part of the community in many ways, and she will be greatly missed by all the staff here at Orchid Valley. Rest in Peace Possum Barb <3

17.01.2022 CANCELLATION/NO SHOW POLICY Due to the incredibly busy schedule we have had over the last few months, we have implemented a new cancellation policy. We are currently booking up days in advance for consultations, and over a week in advance for surgeries. This means that we have lots of pets waiting to get in to see us! If you cannot make your appointment, please call and let us know at least 30 minutes prior so that we can fill your spot.... 1st & 2nd missed appointment: We understand, we are all human & sometimes we forget. 3rd missed appointment: A deposit will be required to make your booking.

16.01.2022 Due to newly implemented COVID-19 protocols, we are running on a very strict time schedule. Only one client is allowed into the clinic at any given time. We appreciate that things happen & delays occur, but please try to make it on time so that we can see all the animals that need to be seen. If you are going to be late or cannot make your appointment time, PLEASE call us and let us know. We are booking up well in advance & some people are waiting with their animals to get in to see us, and a missed appointment is a missed opportunity for us to help their pets!

11.01.2022 Our opening hours over the Christmas & New Year break! If you have scripts that need to be filled, or concerns about your animal, be sure to book in before the Christmas rush!

10.01.2022 There are approximately 300,000 babies born in Australia every year. That we know of (according to Pet Industry Association Australia), there are approximately 450,000 just puppies alone sold in Australia each year. Over-population of dogs and cats = unwanted & abandoned dogs and cats that fill our streets.... Below you will see a basic table of how fast one unspayed female cat/dog and her mate and their offspring can end up producing thousands of dogs/cats. Please help us fight over-population of dogs and cats and desex your pet!

09.01.2022 ARTHRITIS Our pets can suffer from arthritis, especially in the cold! If your pet is showing symptoms of arthritis, there are many avenues we can take to alleviate their pain. Animals won't always cry when in pain, merely not using the joints is an indication that it is hurting. If you would like to talk to a vet about arthritis, call our frindly team on (07)4946 1631.

08.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE Abuse of our staff WILL NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. Our staff work extremely hard to look after you & your pet family, and deserve to be treated with dignity & respect.... Any abusive behaviour or language will have you removed from our client list.

01.01.2022 BEWARE OF PARALYSIS TICKS We have had multiple cases & phone calls about dogs & cats with ticks so far this week. Ensure you pet has protection on board! There are many products available covering cats with monthly, or 3 monthly protection, and dogs with monthly, 3 monthly, & even 6 monthly protection! Call our friendly staff on (07)4946 1631 if you would like to discuss the best option for your pet.

01.01.2022 Anyone else get a total sniff-down when they get home?
