25.01.2022 Totally blown away by the response to the latest episode. In just a few days we have had hundreds of listeners here in Australia, the US and Germany. Brock’s story is so powerful and I hope that this episode helps to promote awareness around mental health, depression and suicide and goes some way to reducing the stigma around these. Massive thanks again to the guys at Aftrmth Active for getting behind the show this year. Go and spend loads of money supporting great guys doing great things.

24.01.2022 Hey Guys Just wanted to let everyone know that we are taking a break from the podcast until the new year. This time of year is so crazy for everyone that we thought it was best to just let everyone focus on spending this crazy time of year with their families and friends. We encourage everyone to share some stories and fond memories with those closest to them and cherish the time together. We’ve got lots of amazing people to talk to next year and we look forward to sharing their stories with you. Cheers Alex

19.01.2022 Hey all. Not sure what’s happening with the episode, it is uploaded and published but not coming up yet on Spotify or Apple podcasts. I will let you know as soon as we are live. In the meantime feel free to share the page with your friends and also head over to Instagram and give us a follow at @opes_podcast.... Cheers

19.01.2022 First episode for the year is live!!! A nice little shout out to the legends at Aftrmth Active for getting behind the podcast at the start too. The episode is a bit tinny sound wise due to recording in a tiled, living room with a bit of echo but the story and message behind it is fantastic. Give it a spin and share it with your mates. https://podcasts.apple.com//ordinary-people-/id1529876493

13.01.2022 Today!!! 5pm!!! We are back!!! I’m excited!!!

08.01.2022 Today’s episode is fantastic. Jessie Ann Elliott was fantastic to chat with and so inspiring. We talked about her challenges in dealing with her father’s suicide at 22, meeting the man of her dreams and the struggle to fall pregnant with him and the fallout of that. Jess finally fell pregnant and had her awesome little man and then again dealt with the guilt and pressures of being a new mum. This lead her down the path she is currently on as a mentor for other women who are trying to find themselves again after child birth and to help others find their place in the world. Check it out on Spotify now!!! https://open.spotify.com/episode/6oISU7wkDOBiq73AUeT5RE Trigger warning in this podcast the following are discussed: suicide, depression and anxiety (including postnatally) and infertility.

06.01.2022 We’ve had a few new followers this week so I thought we’d go back to where it started. Our first episode with Jenny Scheimer. Jenny tells the story of finding her 19 year old son John, unresponsive on his bed at 4am. He was grey and his tongue was hanging out of his mouth. What happened next and how Jenny and her wife Heath responded is an amazing story. Have a listen here. Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you don’t miss each new episode as they are uploaded. https://podcasts.apple.com//ordinary-people-/id1529876493

04.01.2022 My awesome guest on the latest episode of the podcast is doing a thing tomorrow. Go check her out at Jessie Ann Elliott to see what she’s up to. Also you can catch our chat here https://podcasts.apple.com//ordinary-people-/id1529876493

01.01.2022 I’ve just finished editing this week’s episode with Jessie Ann Elliott. Jess is a self love mentor, social justice advocate, self development nerd and spiritual development junkie. Not to mention that she is just an all round legend of a human. Jess’s mission is to help women tune back in to their own desires after becoming a mum. This is a great one for new mums, mums to be and also people that are interested in being the best version of themselves. I can’t wait to share his one with you all on Wednesday. Go and check her page out and give it a like.
