19.01.2022 INSTORE!!!! Freshly delivered. Lemon Myrtle arrived this morning - its been placed on the front counter top (near the registers). Not with the rest of the soaps. RAW soap - ALL organic with a focus on edible oils (food-grade) ingredients wherever possible. Fragranced with plant-based essential oil of Australian lemon-myrtle. BUTTER: Organic cacau butter + Organic shea nut butter.... $14.95 each WHY IS IT BEST TO BUY FRESH? It is RAW soap -- and essential oils will eventually lift off. The aromatic scent is stronger when you buy it straight away! Most other soap companies unless they advertise they are RAW (cold-processed) are definitely not! It is a slower more labour-intensive way to make a superior product. So, what that means is that they cook fragile oils like olive oil (not RAW) and then add the essential oils so that they can smell stronger. We prefer to keep our oils RAW so as to protect the therapeutic properties of the oils. Our soaps are made in 4-6 weeks not 4-6 days. Hot processed soap is like take-away and available instantly as it is cooked until it is ready. It makes for a hard and sometimes brittle bar of soap - it is the logical sense for those who are driven by efficiency and profit - but not the best option if you are seeking extra virgin oils that are NOT cooked but raw. Raw soaps like ours take the natural course of nature and take 4-6 weeks to cure which is not the best practice for a business if you need high turnover. Mass manufacturers prefer hot processed soaps and often triple mill them - so they are highly processed soaps made to last for a long time on the shelves - which is better for those wanting to maintain profits. We do the exact opposite. Our soaps are driven by QUALITY - we make them fresh, it is labour intensive and the turn-around time is slow. But we make the best quality soaps possible, with the best quality ingredients. We love our soaps - and we know that we make soaps that we are proud to use.
