25.01.2022 A growing number of parents of autistic children are coming out in support of medical cannabis, saying that their children show miraculous results for a condition that often seems hopeless.

25.01.2022 Calgary Herald - Cannabis extracts are showing potential in making people more resistant to the novel coronavirus, says an Alberta researcher leading a study. After sifting through 400 cannabis strains, researchers at the University of Lethbridge are concentrating on about a dozen that show promising results in ensuring less fertile ground for the potentially lethal virus to take root, said biological scientist Dr. Igor Kovalchuk. A number of them have reduced the number of ...these (virus) receptors by 73 per cent, the chance of it getting in is much lower, said Kovalchuk. If they can reduce the number of receptors, theres much less chance of getting infected. Employing cannabis sativa strains over the past three months, the researcher said the effective balance between cannabis components THC and CBD the latter more typically associated with medical use is still unclear in blocking the novel coronavirus. 22.01.2022 What can CBD do for my skin? CBD can have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. CBD can be used for pain or irritation, such as redness and itching. Inflammation is the main cause of a variety of skin diseases. For example, CBD can also help with rosacea or eczema, as the natural ingredients have a soothing effect on stressed skin areas. And positive experiences have also been made with the use of CBD in acne, neurodermatitis or skin aging. You can find studies on this topic at hempmate.com/cbd-guidebook/cbd-studies-and research

18.01.2022 Presentation and Q&A about our equity crowd-sourced funding campaign with the managing director or Medicinal Organic Cannabis Australia (MOCA)

16.01.2022 The cannabis industry is currently in a remarkable and unprecedented position. Attitudes toward legal consumption and market penetration are at an all-time high, but this momentum is not necessarily reflected in recent investor attitudes. Although the recent cannabis market downturn does not mean the green rush is over, it does leave many institutional and retail investors wary of who they should give their money to.

16.01.2022 MOCA - Medicinal Organic Cannabis Australia have less than 2 weeks left on their equity crowdfunding campaign and are almost 30% funded! They anticipate that t...hey will be able to offer their products at a much lower price because of their overseas production model. According to the company's co-founders, this is a true game-changer and a major point of difference with their competitors. Do you know an Australian resident or citizen, or eligible international investor, who'd be interested in this investment opportunity? Spread the word! https://bit.ly/3hWyP52

07.01.2022 Modified form of medicinal cannabis can kill or inhibit cancer cells without impacting normal cells, revealing its potential as a treatment rather than simply a... relief medication, according to laboratory tests conducted at the University of Newcastle and Hunter Medical Research Institute. Cancer researcher Dr Matt Dun and his team ran comparisons between other cannabis strains containing THC and those with low levels of THC but with high levels of CBD. For both leukaemia and paediatric brainstem glioma, the cannabis with high CBD levels was more effective at killing cancer cells than THC varieties. There are trials around the world testing cannabis formulations containing THC as a cancer treatment, but if youre on that therapy your quality of life is impacted, Dr Dun says. You cant drive, for example, and clinicians are justifiably reluctant to prescribe a child something that could cause hallucinations or other side-effects. The CBD variety looks to have greater efficacy, low toxicity and fewer side-effects, which potentially makes it an ideal complementary therapy to combine with other anti-cancer compounds. The next phase for the study includes investigating what makes cancer cells sensitive and normal cells not, whether it is clinically relevant, and whether a variety of cancers respond. 02.01.2022 One of the challenges we have faced as Medicinal Organic Cannabis Australia (MOCA) is the outdated stigma attached to medical cannabis. In recent times we have applied for online credit card processing facilities from the major banks and have been knocked back. When I questioned the decision, I was not given any response, only to say that it did not have anything to do with either of the directors or the company. With our federally issued licences we are only able to supply... specific health professionals with our products and they include hospitals, pharmacies and medical practitioners. Our need for online credit card facilities is so that our approved medical practitioner base can order online with prescriptions for their patients. Our model is designed for people that can not access their doctors or pharmacies because of health issues or covid19 restrictions. With our processes, we facilitate a connection with approved doctors who do tele-health and can consult with patients over a video conference. Once the patient is approved by the practitioner, the doctor sends a prescription directly to us. The patient then orders the product online and we ship the cannabis based medication from our secure facility and partner pharmacies directly to the patients home via secure logistics provider. This process is designed to make patient access much easier, especially for those most in need. Yet for reasons that cannot be explained, the major banking channels in Australia are not allowing MOCA access to this service. I have queried the bank representatives and discussed my concerns and they would not confirm either way. Furthermore they refused to discuss the matter further. Given the numerous hurdles patients experience surrounding medical cannabis in gaining access to this important and life transformative medicine, this is yet another one that is based on lack of information from the banking systems in Australia. We hope to gain some visibility to tell our story and help change this bias in the industry and at the same time make access easier. That's why it's important that people who want to see medicinal cannabis companies thrive support them. You can support us by sharing our campaign or pledging as an investor. Be sure to read the offer document and risk warning before investing".
