18.01.2022 I’m pleased to advise that I will be selling my dog food at both the Manning and Stirling Markets this weekend. Despite the sudden lockdown I am one of the lucky ones with products deemed essential and am allowed to trade along with a handful of others. There will be reduced number of stalls and you are advised to purchase your goods and leave as quickly as possible. Please spare a thought for the many small market traders who are not allowed to trade this weekend and please give them your support when things return to normal.

16.01.2022 Please help keep Farmers Markets open!Markets are a great option in the current virus-aware situation. Being able to shop producer-direct in an outdoor fresh air environment where its easier to keep a safe distance from other shoppers is a valuable choice to have. Unfortunately there are those who may seek to shut down markets by photographing market-goers not observing Covid 19 social distancing guidelines & posting those images on social media. By observing guidelines, u...sing hand sanitisers provided by stall holders, leaving dogs and children with others/at home and doing shopping quickly & efficiently, you will help all of us to keep our businesses running. You can still purchase our product from Loose Produce (who have recently moved to 171 Albany Hwy Vic Pk) or South St pet supplies in OConnor ...and tomorrow at Growers Green Market (Sth Freo High School) & Stirling Farmers Market.... The decision was communicated to us after wed prepared our usual fresh batch, so wed really appreciate it if youre able to access one of these other suppliers. -Looks like well have plenty of of portioned, frozen tubs available next week! 05.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Meet Mick, the new proprietor of Organic Dogs Dinner! We are thrilled to have found someone so enthusiastic, positive and innovative to hand over to. I will let him share his plans for how hes going to continue to get the dog food to you over this unusual and challenging time, but Eugene and I wanted to send a heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful loyal customers, our excellent staff, suppliers, stockists and market organisers and last but not least, all those gorgeous DOGS for your support over the last 7 years! Well still be around helping for awhile, but wanted to say thanks & it has been a pleasure working with and for you!

04.01.2022 Organic Dogs Dinner is now available at the fortnightly Poynter Farmers Market in Duncraig. Its a beautiful shady setting, perfect for coffee & breakfast on a Saturday morning, although unfortunately, due to its primary school venue, dogs have to stay home. Once again we have teamed up with Barking Bickies treats to make sure there is something yummy for all pooches.

02.01.2022 Hi Everyone. I hope you and your 4 legged friends are happy. You may have noticed that the consistency of the dog food has been a little different recently. It is a little more soggier or mushier than usual and Id like to explain why. Its because, for several weeks, I have been unable to get my regular supply of barley and rye flakes and I have had to use a new supplier. The flakes from the new supplier have been rolled much thinner, and because of this, they absorb more... water. Its similar to comparing a sheet of newspaper with a thin sheet of cardboard - one will absorb water more than the other ( but I hope doesnt taste anything like the delicious Organic Dogs Dinners that your dogs have come to enjoy.) My regular supplier of organic grains in South Australia has advised me that they have finally got the grains in stock but are waiting for availability at the mill to have them steam cleaned and rolled into flakes. There has been a short supply of these grains for some time due to the droughts and bushfires on the east coast. The supplier has advised me on several occasions that my sacks of flakes are only a couple of weeks away....but it now appears that there will be a further delay of 4 to 6 weeks. They appreciate that the supply of these grains are crucial to my cooking process but advise me that they are unable to speed up the supply. I have tried to source other suppliers around Australia but they are all in a similar situation...surprising when you consider that barley is the second most common grain grown in Australia. At this stage I will continue to use the barley and rye from the new supplier and although the consistency will appear different, I have been assured by several dogs that the taste is still delicious. In fact, I have added extra beef in order to try to absorb some of the excess moisture. As soon as my original supplier sends me the next batch, I will add another post to this Facebook site to inform you that everything is back to normal. Thanks for your patience and support.
