03.01.2022 Further EDIT! I had found the wrong credit for this photo! The correct name is Myrrh de Marmion, and you can find her beautiful image here:https://www.creatived...ivinestudios.com/nature-photography . The most beautiful mandala brought to you by Mother Nature. This is the Kalanchoe succulent, native of Madagascar. Wonderful inspiration! . EDIT: I'm blown away by the response to this image! Thank you all so much! I'm trying to answer every comment, but sorry if I miss a few.. much love and gratitude to everyone. See more

02.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS: Today, Wilderness Society SA has announced legal proceedings in the Federal Court to challenge NOPSEMA’s approval of Equinor’s Environment Plan t...o drill for oil in the Great Australian Bight. We're up against a government and business with deep pockets. Learn more wilderness.org.au/bight-court-challenge To be clear, this is not a step we wanted to have to take - however this legal case is extremely important. When NOPSEMA the government regulator for offshore oil drilling approved Equinor’s Environment Plan, it set a deeply concerning precedent. That failing to formally consult environment groups, key Indigenous groups & local governments is ok. We are concerned that future projects could: ignore the perspective and interests of Traditional Custodiansputting cultural heritage at tremendous risk. dismiss the impacts these projects have on the functions and interests of environment organisations that represent people like you to protect our climate, wilderness ecosystems and our southern oceansas well as the communities and marine life that depend on them to survive. exclude local governments that are responsible for the people, places and infrastructure most likely to be impacted. This case is about the law. But this campaign is also about much more than that. It is about big businesses and government not listening to the tens of thousands of Australians who don’t want oil drilling in the Bightwho have protested at beaches across the country, donated, written submissions, and called on their decision-makers and Equinor to keep Big Oil out of the Bight for good. This isn’t a battle that is won in a day. This is an ongoing, long-term fight. Please donate $15 today to join the thousands of others who know what has happened here isn’t right. wilderness.org.au/donate-bight-case **If you are on a laptop - use the donate link in the comments below!! #fightforthebight #bigoildontsurf #nowaynorway #greataustralianbight Our lawyers -Environmental Defenders Office
