22.01.2022 What's growing well in your garden at the moment? We have bunching onions, carrots, silverbeet, climbing and bush snake beans, bush beans, zucchini, capsicum, tomatoes, kale, tatsoi, bok choy, leaf amaranth and even some lettuce and rocket. Plenty more to go in yet, we are working on making some new beds for pumpkins, melons, sweetcorn and squash. Our aim is to have everything planted before Christmas, then we can just water and watch the crops grow through January and February.

19.01.2022 In the beginning days at the Olive Grove, we sometimes used a rotary hoe to prepare the ground for planting. Now the soil health has improved so much on some of our beds, we no longer use the rotary hoe, but instead the trust ole Broadfork! Using the Broadfork rather than a rotary hoe allows less disturbance to the microbes, leaving them to work their magic and less compaction to the soil We teach all of this goodness, and more in our Certificate 3 in Horticulture, ran at ou...r market garden in Cooran. If you're a curious cat to find out more or know you want to become a busy gardening bee you may be interested in joining one of our future courses Have a lovely eve to you all!
