24.01.2022 Good morning XoX Thank you so much for the messages yesterday about Dump Run Business's. A lot of people are saying "Those Local Guys" & "Shift Buddies", they were not able to help. ... GREAT NEWS! My last December Available Booking has been snapped up. I have already worked on my January Availability and will be posting it soon. TUESDAY'S BOOKING: Yesterday morning I had my Regular Fortnightly Booking with my Client at Gordon Park. Each Booking with this Client is a "HOUSE RESET". I have added a video explaining what it means for my Client to have this done in her home. I surprised my Client by tidying up her garage (used as a main entrance to my Clients home) and office. Like homes of most busy families, things are just dropped where ever and if you are not constantly walking around behind the children picking things up, constantly telling them to pick things up, area's become cluttered and once they become cluttered, it all becomes overwhelming. I contacted my Client last night and was sent this message: "The entire house looks amazing but I was especially excited about the office!! Thank you so much!" 23.01.2022 Happy Monday morning everyone. Did you all have a wonderful weekend? I know 2 people..other than me..that did some 'organising/decluttering' over the weekend. Anyone else?... My Cleaner is coming today. for me. I look forward to the day of walking into my unit after a cleaner has been and be happy that my unit is fully cleaned. NEW NEWS! It saddens me to say..I will have to increase my hourly rate by $1 (originally $45, increase of $1, new rate $46)..starting ASAP. While I was food shopping over the weekend, I found Low Carb Cookies that cost $4 each..so if I increase the hourly rate by $1..I can have a cookie every week day. Just joking - . But seriously..$4 for 1 Cookie. MY WEEK AHEAD: It's back to Nannying..till the end of the year. Wednesday is the draw of my 'MONTHLY CLIENT GIVEAWAY'. I get so excited when I do this draw..it's to Thank my Clients for Booking that month. It's up the winner to claim it or not. Today I am visiting 2 Returning Clients (my Client at Ferny Grove was originally a Regular Client, but due to COVID - they had to cancel, they are thinking of re-booking Regular Bookings) and 3 Regular Clients for the rest of the week. 22.01.2022 Happy Saturday everyone XoX Happy Long weekend! What are you up too? Me - I organised a family lunch (I'll tell you about it tomorrow) and am heading out to my parents home for the night. I have a huge list of things that I would like to get done, for myself. Being realistic..I know there is no way I can get even half of it done this weekend. ... Bookings are still available during December. I was able to find more Low Carb Cookies at Chemist Warehouse, a little cheaper than at WOOLIES, so I am guessing I won't have to increase the Booking hourly rate. FRIDAYS BOOKING: Yesterday morning I had a Booking with my Regular Client at Ferny Grove. Because the kids were on holidays, I was asking them to help me tidy up their room. It had only been fully tidied on Wednesday. I only asked them to collect the dirty clothes, the garbage (bits of paper and tissues) and pick up the toys. I asked and asked for them to tidy up, I was being ignored..then I went to the kitchen, grabbed a big black garbage bag and collecting everything myself. OH BOY..the yelling and crying. It was all sorted after they left. I told them the next time - the bag will be put on top of a cupboard for 1 day..then the next time will be longer and so on. YES...I am an EVIL NANNY type of person. My Client and I tidied up the inside of her home so quickly, tackled the wash baskets, washed/dried clothes, so we could spend some time tidying up the deck..which was a huge trip hazard for my Client. 21.01.2022 Happy Monday IMPORTANT ASK: IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE THAT CAN HELP WITH A FEW DUMP RUNS FOR A CLIENT TODAY AT FERNY GROVE, SOME ITEMS ARE COVERED IN MOULD, MY CLIENT CAN SUPPLY YOU WITH A MASK. THESE THINGS NEED TO BE REMOVED THIS AFTERNOON!... IF YOU HAVE ANY CLEAN MOVING BOXES IN THE FERNY GROVE AREA...PLEASE LET ME KNOW. NEEDED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! How was your weekend? I didn't get my huge list of 'to do' done , but I was able to do a few of the major things . I needed to get one BIG thing that a lot of people will be happy with. I even washed down my balcony and put up my Christmas Lights . My lights are Solar..next door's new build has cut a lot of sunlight , I am hoping that it's enough for my lights. There is not powerpoint outside, so I couldn't use powered lights. I knew what my availability for 2021 was going to be like. It's easy when I only have a few Regular Clients..so outside of that time is available. I had been searching how I was going to advertise my Availability. With the extra availability..doing what I had done previously was a bit much. So I have created a weekly Calendar with 'What's Booked', 'What's Available' & 'What's OFF'. I am not releasing my availability today..keep watching though..it will be soon. I am posting the 1st week in January, so people can get an idea of what I will be creating.. I am thinking of taking the week off..before the lead up to a full on year. I will have to talk to 3 Regular Clients and see if they are okay with me taking the time off. A few people have already messaged me with intent of making Bookings in January, 2021. Please get in as soon I post the availability. 17.01.2022 Good morning everyone. I want to say a 'Thank You' to all of the kind people and a Special "Thank You" to yesterdays Client and my Friend, Zarina. Yesterday morning I received another (cyber bullying) message on my page and was dealing with some unpleasantries in a community post. I am trying to deal with it all..I screen shot, send off, then delete and (try to) ignore the cyber bullying messages, but with other unpleasantries, it's a little harder. ... But yesterday morning..when I was feeling down..my lovely Client/Friend gave me a Low Carb Cookie. It was a simple act of kindness..but meant so much to me at the time. TUESDAY'S BOOKING: Yesterday morning I had a Regular Fortnightly Booking with my Cleint at Gordon Park. It's still school holidays..so my Client had her little people at home, she said to me "They are all yours!" and kept saying to the children "Listen to Vicki!" They did...these 3 children are beautiful little people. I took the kids straight up stairs and we started to organise the washing. I got the kids to throw all of the clean clothes onto my Clients bed and we used the baskets for each persons clothing. When that was done, I got the kids to sort the socks, finding friends. I kept one child with me to help me fold their clean clothes, while I sent the others off to tidy their rooms. Once all of the clothes were folded, I helped each child make their beds and directed them on how to tidy their rooms, properly. The children worked so well together. I was wonderful to spend time with children that don't argue and fight with each other over everything. It was funny when the 2 youngest would say "My rooms tidy" and it totally wasn't. My Client and I were laughing every time it was said. The children were even emptying the storage boxes that had been there since they moved in. They did a wonderful job emptying 3 more. Well done kids! When my Client and the children went out..I was able to complete tidying up the rest of the house. At the end of the booking..there were 4 empty washing baskets and 3 empty storage boxes! I had such a busy afternoon at my Nanny Families home before I picked the children up from vocation care. They had only just come home from holidays and I had to deal with the last of their dirty clothes mountain and fold a huge clothes mountain of clean clothes/towels/sheets. I'm back to dealing with children that annoy each other at every chance they can get, making their dinners and not getting home till after dark. 14.01.2022 Oh my gosh... Thank you everyone for Booking Sessions in January. I am happy to say that January is now fully Booked. Over the weekend I will work on advertising Februarys Availability. Some of my New & Returning Clients have become Regular Clients, so things have changed since last weekend. ... Also..Thank you to everyone for your kind messages yesterday , asking about how I was feeling after my Physio appointment. Your messages are greatly appreciated. I had also received a few messages from people saying that it's not that easy to fix Vertigo. I was one of the lucky ones that this manoeuvre helped me. If I had ignored it for years, it would have been a whole different story. TUESDAY.. Yesterday morning I had a Session with a Regular Client at Gordon Park, we have a fortnightly Booking. Some of my Clients become really good friends and this Client is one of them, for this I am very Thankful. I walked in the door, my Client and her 3 beautiful children needed to rush out the door. We are all so busy with work/life just before the end of the year. With this client, I don't have a list of things that need to be done..I complete as much of a "HOUSE RESET" as I can. Cleaners come in after me, so I am able to concentrate on resetting the house. I make it easy for the cleaners to 'clean' my Clients home and not spend time putting things away, making beds, or tidying up.. Not only do I have the title of "Finder of Lost Things!", I can now claim the title of "Dog Catcher". My Clients little dog, bolted when I was leaving, cheeky little shit decided he needed to take himself for a run/swim down at the creek. I don't normally run, but I ran. I don't normally get dirty, but I got dirty. I had to go down a embankment to catch the little shit..but I got him and carried him home. I was rather lucky, cause when he bolted, I dropped my bag and keys in the driveway..when I got back, they were all still there. 13.01.2022 Morning everyone Happy Sunday morning. What to you have planned for today?... Me... Yesterday I went to the 'Southside' (and survived ) to get an early Birthday Present from my Mum and Dad..so.. I have to shift a few things from my freezer up stairs to my NEW (second-hand) tucker box freezer in my garage. I was given the choice of 2 to choose from. I am sure the one I chose was more expensive..but the staff on hand had no idea what they were doing. After I purchased the freezer yesterday, I had to come home and re-arrange my well ORGANISED garage. I was actually kicking myself..I had taken my measuring tape, but I completely forgot..so I just guessed on the area that I needed. I made a good guess though. I also have to check the freezer for the details so I can purchase the internal baskets. It didn't come with any and the invoice only says 'Fisher & Paykle'. I have to do my paperwork I have to set up for cleaner/ironing person to come tomorrow, they couldn't come Friday and it's a new person. Plus I have all of my washing to fold and put away. 07.01.2022 Good morning everyone. A HUGE Thank you for the messages, the comments and your kind thoughts. It is lovely to know that there are kind people. I am OK..I would just appreciate a break from the nastiness for awhile. ... WEDNESDAY BOOKING: Yesterday morning I had a Booking with my Regular Client at Ferny Grove. When I leave this Clients home, after our Booking, I am so thankful that my Business is a Service that can help them. I have been a Nanny since 1994 and know that no child is the same..that some children can sit quietly for hours and hours, that some child will totally destroy everything if left to their own devices. A lot of my Clients have children that will play with their toys and walk away, will sit with craft and walk away, will play with IT and walk away, will tip out a toy box and walk away..with no thought to putting any of it away. 06.01.2022 Good morning everyone. Happy Friday. QUESTIONS: I recently purchased some labels, from a business I saw on Facebook. ... I got a bargain and the owner has said that if anyone mentions my name, or my Business Name they get a discount as well. The labels were posted on the 17th of last month and I received them yesterday. When I went to stick them on my glass jars..I noticed they are Transfers, not sticker/labels. My questions: - Has anyone else used Transfers? - Has it always been Transfers, not Labels? THURSDAY BOOKING: Yesterday morning I had a Regular Booking with my Original Client at Ashgrove. Because I had spent 7 hours there last week, there wasn't much for me to do during this Booking. The family had been away, so I unpacked all of the bags. Putting everything where it needed to be. I chatted to my Client about 'decluttering' the children's clothes, removing the 'too small' clothes from the oldest daughters cupboard. I spent some time in the oldest daughters bedroom tidying up the drawers, the desk and the top of the duchess. In the drawers, I created a 'special drawer' for all of her wallets, her IT and her OOSHIES. Lets say you had a dog that ate all of your stuff? Where would you store your thongs? I did talk to my Client about a few things in her lovely home, including needing a hanging space for their cowboy hats. I finished a little earlier at my Nanny job yesterday..so I came home, packed to go away over the weekend, I even pulled out my clothes for today. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday. 04.01.2022 Good morning everyone. Vicki of "ORGANISED...with Vicki" is now taking Bookings for January 2021. I have already spoken to a few Returning Clients, 1 has become a Regular Client and a few have snapped up a few Bookings.... WEDNESDAY'S BOOKING: Yesterday morning I had a Booking with a New Client at Upper Kedron. I have known this lovely lady for about 4 years now. My Client owns "Show Dance", based at Payne Road State School. I don't usually say my Clients names..but I think "Ms Cheyene" is one of the loveliest ladies I have ever met. She always has a smile for everyone she meets. My Client and her partner have a 'new build' and Booked me in ages ago to help with the pantry. As soon as we completed a tour of her wonderful new home, discussing where things were going, we worked on everything. Of course I put my little touch on the pantry. My Client has a few cupboards to be built in the home ie: 'butler's pantry', 'office cupboards/desk'..I needed to organise for now, so that it is easy to use, but when the other area's are built, these area's will need to be 're-organised'. I worked on the drawers and cupboards in the kitchen and told my wonderful Client to get certain kitchen storage containers to make it all more manageable. I created a quick 'advertising video' as I was heading out..I had to do it quickly so I could race home to get changed for my Nanny job. It's not perfect. 02.01.2022 Happy Sunday everyone! I couldn't post it yesterday..but I organised a "Surprise 70th Birthday Lunch" for my Mum. (I could have..because Mum doesn't read my posts anymore ) Mums Birthday isn't till the 21st of October. I told her I wanted to have a family get together to tell everyone about decisions I had made with my Business, I also told her I was planning a party on the weekend of my birthday, for her 70th, just to throw her off the scent. ... It was wonderful to see her so happy. I spent the night with my Mum and Dad. I have a few things that I need to do while I am here, plus I have looked around to see a few things that I need to do over the Christmas/New Years break. I visited my Bestie last night and spent some time with her family, for her Dad's Surprise Birthday Party! I love her family...they treat me like one of their own. Must have been the weekend for Birthday Surprise Parties. Yesterday, my sisters partner put a note on my windscreen..thinking he was funny ..it's been so dusty and I knew I was driving on dirt roads this weekend, so I was putting off getting my car cleaned till this afternoon. My Mum is making me a Sunday Roast (PORK) lunch. Isn't she wonderful MY WEEK AHEAD: Monday is a public holiday..I am taking some time off. I will be trying to get a few things done in my unit. Top of my list is to set up a ROBOT VACUUM. This is the second one..the first one was faulty. Tuesday to Friday, I have my Regular Clients plus Nannying - now that the school holidays are over, it's back to racing from school to after school activities and getting home late.
