23.01.2022 What is your best cleaning hack/product ? After organising comes a good opportunity to conduct a deep clean. Today I found myself experimenting with some cleaning hacks I’ve come across such as soaking oven racks in the bath tub in foil with a dishwashing tablet on top and using shaving foam on tiles around the toilet (both had reasonably good outcomes but unsure if I have the need to do them again). More cleaning hacks to come if we get enough likes/if this is what you’d l...ike to see us post on. Although I’m always open to trying new cleaning products especially if they’re less toxic these are my favourites for my surfaces & requirements so far: Koh- a low tox universal cleaner (I can clean almost every surface in my home with this 1 product helping to drastically reduce the amount of cleaning products I need to store. Also worth it’s weight in gold for cleaning oven without the fumes). If you’d like to try this product we have a discount code we can provide upon request. Ajax- the powdered version used with a kitchen sponge (this is what I use on most things when I have built up grime, it has a similar effect to Jif however having control of the dilution to adjust the amount of grit you want to use on the surface you’re cleaning is a lot more appealing to me- teamed up with a kitchen sponge & a little water, kitchen sinks, bath tubs and spot cleaning walls come up a treat with this product!) Cerapol- if you have a ceramic glass or induction cooktop this is the only product I’ve found to bring it back to looking brand new. Exfoliating glove- this is a great little tool to use when cleaning the shower! Do you want to see more cleaning related posts? We would love to know-what is your best cleaning hack/product ?
23.01.2022 Today I was lucky enough to attend an event presented by interior designer and trend forecaster Kim Chadwick. Very impressive & clever is the Designer Colour Wheel she has specifically designed to help people identify which colours work together Kim has credentials & experience working with a long list of very well known brands such as Colorbond, Laminex, Beaumont Tiles, Wattle Paints & so many more that I’m sure was a list is longer then my arm!... Feeling very lucky to now have this knowledge & tool to use moving forward. #knowledgeispower #colours #trends #colourwheel #simple #interiordesign #alwaysroomforimprovement #lovewhatyoudo #organisethatspace

21.01.2022 A change is as good as a holiday Today’s job involved adding a touch of blush, greenery, texture, sense of height & a kids corner to this beautiful space. #complimentwhatyou’vegot #organisethatspace #blushcrush #greenery #textureandwarmth #staggerforheight #kidscornerbehindthelounge
20.01.2022 Make a start I’ve very recently begun getting back into fitness and it got me getting back to basics, just how I did when I starting organising my home when it got on top of me when the kids were babies. I’ve accepted that I need to reduce my expectations and that my current lifestyle and fitness level doesn’t allow for a daily half or one hour workout. So I’ve decided I can absolutely commit to 10 minutes first thing in the morning.... Set a 10 minute timer and do as much as you can (of exercise or organising or whatever your focus is for that day) until the timer goes off. Forget about perfection! Such a great thing to start your day off with a positive! Tomorrow I’m going to incorporate vigorously cleaning some windows in the 10 minute ‘routine’ #killing2birdswithonestone #makeastart #canbe5minutesifyoucantdo10! #organisethatspace

17.01.2022 a big Happy Birthday to this client! Wouldn’t ya’ll love to live in this home?! The photos don’t even do it justice, & the rest of the home is also just devine!! Change of season is well & truly upon us again . With plenty of hanging space this client is going to try out the hanging their vast majority of laundry straight onto coat hangers like our last post suggested & also trying out the hack where hangers are turned around backwards until they’re used then h...ung up forwards so that at the end of the season they know what clothing was actually utilised & what clothing they can potentially let go of. We’ve also utilised the space in the spare room to hang unused items so when the season changes again it will be a simple process of switching a few loads of hangers Thanks again for having us! #setyourselfupforsucess #declutter #organise #maintain #strategise #thinkoutsidethebox #lovewhatwedo #organisethatspace
16.01.2022 We are working on a mini project to do a fun/quirky photo shoot to promote our & hopefully other small local businesses so we can be exposed to a wider local market. Wondering if anyone would like to jump on board with donating their time/products so we can do a joint social media post We are willing to strike a pose if we are able to attract the likes of make up artist, florist, clothing, item hire and maybe any others that are interested and we can make work. We have currently teamed up with Sally Dugan Photography and Shannon Thompson for hair & look forward to hearing from you! Please send as a message for more information Emma & Samarra (The Ots gals)
16.01.2022 Hooks placed horizontally One of our favourite tips to help keep an orderly home is to keep horizontal spaces like floors, tables, beds and benches clear of clutter. This is an untraditional but great way to use hooks (in this case used horizontally under a bench in a pantry leading to the garage) to keep things like bags & hats off the ground where you may otherwise have an awkward or unused space. Now super easy to clean the floor too ... #organisethatspace #setyourselfupforsuccess #thinkoutsidethebox
15.01.2022 Decluttering is not getting rid of almost everything you own, it’s letting go of the things that don’t matter, leaving you with space for what truly matters. A life that isn’t constant busyness, rushing and stress, but instead deliberate contemplation, creation and connection with people and activities you love.

13.01.2022 To say the least... moving can be a time consuming & frustrating process. Even if you get a removalist it’s a big job to pack & then unpack everything in into its rightful place. 12.01.2022 How do you do your laundry? Do you hang yours straight out of the machine? Do you use your dryer? Do you do a little a lot or one big bulk wash? Do you find it hard to keep on top of? How do you keep on top of it? Although I’d heard of hanging clothes on to hangers straight out of the machine, I never really struggled with keeping on top of laundry so I never really considered doing it any way other then how my family did it (on the clothesline, into the basket, hang & f...old)... until I had 2 kiddos & thought there has to be a better way (I’m also personally not a fan of using the dryer). Every household is different however in our climate (often cold & wet or dry & dusty) I’m super glad I switched to giving my laundry a quick flap & hanging everything I could straight out of the machine onto coat hangers & a portable & adjustable clothes stand. It avoids the double handling you get when hanging on a clothesline. Whilst drying I can roll the stand out in the good weather & back in during the not so good weather (or inside on those ‘iffy’ days while at work). I’ve situated mine in my living area near my sunny north facing window & under a heating vent (I dream of one day having a drying room where they are dried quickly & out of sight but this system works for us right now- with young children I need all the motivation I can get to keep on top of it & my desire to have the clothes stand clear is a great motivation for me). I have what I’d consider an average amount of hanging space in my home. Hanging everything required more hanging space for the dry clothes so to combat this I created more hanging space with tension rods and small clothes stands underneath our tall hanging spaces. We’d love to hear if you already do this, what works for you or if you think you will give this method a go! If you take up our services, we now offer a lend of a portable clothes stand & extra hangers so you can try this system & see if it works for your household #laundry #systems #trysomethingnew #organisethatspace #setyourselfupforsuccess #declutter #organise #maintain
09.01.2022 Two things We’ve been quiet on social media lately as Emma has had a family holiday/attended HIA Australian Housing Conference (thanks PAH Construction!!) & Samarra has been taking on another small business! Samarra likes organising & styling so much that she has taken it to the next level & is now ALSO helping people organise their events! She is the proud new owner of Wagga Event Hire & Styling, helping clients arrange not just weddings but also on trend parties & events.... Offering items for dry hire or to have Wagga Event Hire do it all for you is a great way to keep things simple & not bring unnecessary items permanently into your own space. Please support Samarra & her new small local business venture by liking Wagga Event Hire + Styling & contacting them to arrange your next event. Organise That Space are now also all back on deck & ready to take bookings (we have commitments most weekdays so weekends are our preference!) If you’d like help getting on top of things, send us a msg for our availability now #organisethatspace #outsource #recharged #availableweekends #waggaeventhire
09.01.2022 Memories I’ve seen this idea a couple of times now and this morning decided to act on doing it for my children. It literally took 10 minutes! I’ve set up a free outlook email account for each of them and intend on emailing through not only... special photos and videos but mainly writing about the little moments worth remembering. On their 18th Birthday’s I’ll give them their username and password So many good reasons to do this and in such a fast paced world I think this is going to do me wonders! I hope this post inspires someone else to do it

06.01.2022 Parenting ‘hacks’ I have a sick little one (sorry about that vision), so it got me thinking how much I love this ‘hack’ that I do each time my kids show signs of vomiting. I use a combination of old towels & these disposable bed wetting mats in ‘the danger zone’ on &/or around the bed to protect the sides of bed, carpet & surrounding items. It saves on a whole lot of unpleasant work if they miss the bucket ... 01.01.2022 Benchmark for decluttering Don’t know what your goal for decluttering is? Need inspiration for what to keep?... I have found a good benchmark to be a well set up holiday home! In a good one it will be everything you comfortably NEED and GOOD QUALITY with MINIMAL MAINTENANCE required. They’ll usually be uniformed making it easy on the eye, easy to clean, see what’s missing and out of place. Talk about reducing decision fatigue! No wonder we feel so good even when visiting quite a simple holiday setup. I’ve photographed the kitchen area of the two my family have recently stayed. The only thing to add & maintain a simplified kitchen like this at home would be pantry staples & a good meal planning system (if you have not yet tried ‘Hello Fresh’ I recommend you do, so you can easily experience what truely organised meal planning can do for your everyday household, lifestyle & decision fatigue- discount code available upon request). If you have excess items but not yet ready to sell or donate, try living with just these recommended essentials & packing excess items into good sized boxes like the 51L ones we recently picked up from Bunnings for under $6 each! You won’t regret trailing living with just essentials, I believe it positively affects everyone’s attitude & understanding of what matters in our lives. When it comes to materialistic possessions QUALITY is much better then QUANTITY!
