25.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Welcome to my business page for 'Organising With Rachael'. This is my professional organising business which is carried out in homes throughout Melbourne. Services offered are: decluttering, downsizing and deceased estate clearance.... I visit all clients in their homes first to assess their needs and wishes. This is then followed by hands-on sessions of a minimum of 3 hours. My ideal clients are those: - experiencing stress or overwhelm due to their 'stuff' - regrouping after a life event etc. retirement, empty nest, injury, loss of a loved one -wishing to downsize their belongings or move into a smaller premises I'll be sharing more about my services soon but in the meantime, I'd be most grateful if you 'liked' my page. I'm also deciding on a special gift for those who recommend my services which result in a booking. Thanks very much everyone and good night!

19.01.2022 Hi Everyone, this is my first blog post with plenty more to follow. Have a bit of a read about the difference between clutter and hoarding and the implications both have on your environments. There are some tips at the end to try as well. Feedback is welcome. Enjoy! https://www.organisingwithrachael.com//difference-between-

13.01.2022 Such a simple shift in focus - yet it has a profound effect on our sense of connection and purpose in the world.

12.01.2022 Hi Everyone! (long post ahead but bare with me) I hope you had a great Easter break. I spent mine with family and also studying this incredible online course about dementia. Why dementia you ask? In my capacity as a professional organiser, I really enjoy working with senior citizens and this is an illness that strikes that age group predominantly. Did you know that dementia is a terminal illness, affecting not just memory loss but also a person's ability to follow logical pr...ocesses, make decisions and orient themselves spatially? And that's just the beginning. A person just diagnosed with dementia needs all the support they can get and I aim to be there to help them through their journey. I could go on but maybe in another post. This was a fantastic course, full of info. Please get in touch if you or a loved one is living with dementia and needs help maintaining a safe, calm and enabling environment in their home. Call 0478 031 602 for a friendly chat.

09.01.2022 Medications in the home that have expired or are no longer needed can be dangerous, especially for those with poor eyesight or memory loss. It's best to check your collection for expiry dates, recycle any outer packaging at home and place all foil strips, bottles, tubes etc. in a container to be taken to a pharmacy. Most medications, including prescription, non-prescription, gels and liquids can be returned to any pharmacy.... For more information visit: https://returnmed.com.au and talk to your pharmacist.

08.01.2022 Lovely feedback from a delightful client. Wardrobes are also one of my favourite areas to work in! It's fantastic to feel proud of ones' appearance at any age.

07.01.2022 Just had to share this. What an adorable idea! Enjoy your Saturday!

03.01.2022 This is a proud moment for me! I've just become the first and only full member in Victoria of the National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers! That means that I've: ... > undertaken the study to understand my senior clients better and how I can best serve them >purchased insurance to protect their belonging; and >committed to upholding an industry standard code of ethics within my business --> key to advocating for the rights of elders! What does this mean for you? You can rest assured you're choosing someone you can trust who is going to work not only efficiently but with empathy, patience and respect. Still curious as to what it all means? Check out nasmm.org to learn more about the industry and what Senior Move Management entails. And of course you can always contact me on 0478 031 602

01.01.2022 How do you keep your Melbourne Cup Day fascinators and hats? Mine are kept in my late step-mothers' hand painted hat box. It's actually a lovely shiny gold, not brown. A practical solution that reminds me of her.
