They have 5days to raise another 4K. To steal some of their own words: "As female producers and artists we constantly face the gender gap - the fact that on average there is only one female role to every four male roles in the canon of Shakespeare’s works. So we thought - let’s flip it around. What... would happen if Julius Caesar was a female senator in a matriarchal societythus the conversations began. This production has had three successful seasons, Melbourne, Adelaide and Geelong. It has been praised for it's "sharp dramatic blows" and "piercing succinctness". Now in our 15th year of producing Shakespeare the time is right for us to take this powerful show to the world's largest Fringe Festival, Edinburgh. PLAY IT ON is a music collaboration series presented as an online concert in support of Australian artists who have lost their income as a result of the nationwide shutdown of the live entertainment industry. Featuring collaborations and performances from ... David Campbell Hailey Collier Casey Donovan Graeham Goble Kate Miller-Heidke Elise McCann Tim Minchin Katie Noonan Eddie Perfect Hayden Tee with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Streaming is free of charge, viewers will be able to donate to our specific PLAY IT ON donation portal where all funds raised will be distributed between the Actors and Entertainment benevolent Funds and Trusts in each state, as well as Support Act. These terrific institutions will then ‘pay it on’ to individual arts workers nationwide, across all professions who need support right now.
