23.01.2022 This Daikon (raddish) is so fresh!!! Straight from the farm to market. We just had to try this versatile vegetable straight away. Intended for a winter soup, it was just as yummy in a quick stir fry ;) an unusual vegetable to some, but definitely must try.

19.01.2022 It's been a long, cold and slow Winter, especially if you are in the fresh fruits and vegetables business. Spring is here, so Summer is around the corner. Beautiful sunshine as the weather warms up. Kids pestering to go to the beach.. just in time... Fresh drinking coconuts!!!! Just arrived. Refreshing, great flavour and totally healthy. The latest craze, it is a novelty to drink straight from the coconut (after cutting of course). Exotic enough to let you laze back, relax ...and enjoy... ********* Chun b mùi v ca mùa Hè. After all the time, cost and effort to finally be able to export Vietnamese lychee to Australia, you'd think the VN authorities/exporters would take care to export a product that is.. wow!!! I am deeply disappointed by the poor quality, underweight pack and fruit already going rotten. How can we support this????... Xu h vi hàng trái vi VN mi xut qua Úc. 16.01.2022 The sun rising over the crops in the field, the last rays of sunshine lingering on the treetops.. all this looks very romantic and picturesque.. if you are on holiday or have the time. Here on our growers farm in Darwin, it is barely 7am and still dark. The growers are already in the field, covered head to toe from the heat, flies and mosquitos, bent over and too busy picking produce to notice or appreciate this. I am swimming in sweat and scratching my arms and legs raw ...from the insect bites, and yet they keep toiling under all kinds of weather and conditions. I cannot begin to describe the hard life of our growers. Alot of them are struggling families with young children, living in old caravans or accomodation a little more than hovels. Their determination, hard work and tenacity in order to achieve a part of the australian dream.. to build a better life for themselves and their children is beyond admirable. I should be too :) Apparently, it's the new Sydney Markets regulation: the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).. to ensure the market is a safe place to work and visit... goodness knows what they are going to regulate once they see a baby on top of a pallet :)
