22.01.2022 Be part of the first event of 2021! What better way to say goodbye to the difficult year that was 2020 and say hello to what will hopefully be a much better year! This special New Year's Day MapRun event will unlock at midnight. Friday 1st Jan 12:00am.... Start Location is at the end of Brussels Avenue, Seven Hills. There will be a Short Course 3.5km, Easy 1.8km and Score course available. You can run, jog, walk or have a leisurely stroll. You can complete individually or participate in a group. Free event! 20.01.2022 The MapRun Parks Series event this week is at Anzac Park, Toowong on Sun 27 September. Arrive with the aim to start between 4:00pm and 4:30pm. Come along for a fun, friendly run/jog/walk in the park. You have 40 mins to visit as many checkpoints in the park as possible. 08.01.2022 Congratulations to OQ Junior Development Officer Gordon Bossley for winning the Victorinox Award for his tireless work on the Sporting Schools Orienteering program in Queensland. Gordon will receive a Victorinox Swiss knife for his efforts. Gordon's work will be acknowledged in the December 2020 edition of The Australian Orienteer. Victorinox make the Swiss Army knives and have been a sponsor of Swiss Orienteering for many years. The Australian Victorinox agents, Sheldon & Hammond, have been awarding a knife to worthy orienteers chosen by The Australian Orienteer for more than 20 years.
