19.01.2022 The OWA MetrO Series got off to a great start on Saturday. The map provided participants with a good mix of urban and not so urban areas - looking at people's shoes afterwards you could tell where some people had been. It was lovely to see a lot of new faces plus MetrO series regulars. It was good to see the casuals giving members a run for their money. Congratulations to Ceri Pass and Sten Claessens for their wins on the long course; Paul Dowling and Marlene Flett (casu...al member) on the medium course and Duncan Sullivan and Monika Swierk (casual member) for their wins on the short course. Hopefully we will see some of the newcomers back again. Everyone is always welcome. All results are available on Eventor: https://eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Events/ResultList

Also doing well in Norway is Kjell Winther who was a member of LOST when he was based here in WA (though he was not participating in the Norwegian Sprint Champs).

02.01.2022 This weekend's MetrO Series event is in Cottelsoe. We're meeting at the Civic Centre, with a mass start at 5pm. Please be aware of other events and avoid them - especially the wedding in the Sunken Garden. We don't want to be blamed for any orienteers featuring unintentionally in wedding photos. Pre-entry is available until midnight tonight if you want to avoid queues. If you're running as a group, then may be easier to fill in the entry forms at the event. However, if... you're entering as an individual, have a go at pre-entering and see how simple it is. You don't have to be an OWA member to come to events, though obviously we'd love you to join us, and entry fees are cheaper if you're going to come to several events. https://eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Events/Show/10708
