23.01.2022 Every Friday we have a team meeting. Although we work along-side each other every day, Friday mornings are reserved for the big stuff. New client introductions, update on jobs in progress and then planning out the following week. If I remember, I take a selfie and everyone complains. 20.01.2022 Our last wedding at @mandoonestateweddings was this beauty for our dear Angel & Jeffrey! We transformed the main function room into a spring wedding dream, full of soft & romantic florals and candlelight. A fairylight canopy covered the entire ceiling and the dancefloor space was surrounded by cosy lounge settings. We started set up 2 days prior, erecting a truss system around the entire room and building the space from the outside in. The last thing to go up was this stun...ning three ring floral installation over the bridal table right in the centre of the room. 13.01.2022 Top 3 Questions received this week for our Floral Designer, Jess; 1. How do you keep the flowers alive? The first step to floral longevity is to give each bunch love! We love our flowers by unwrapping them, taking off unrequired leaves, giving them an angled trim and placing them in clean buckets of freshwater. We then store them in the fridge until we need to use them. ... With each arrangement or floral installation, we use a wet foam product made to keep the flowers wet and alive. We also try to not handle them too much as they're delicate; the less hand trauma they receive the longer they will live. 2. Can we give the flowers to guests at the wedding? OMG Yes! We love it when you share the love and the beautiful florals are then loved by others after your big day. It’s important for us to know of your intention to gift them so we can design this take home aspect in the early styling stages. 3. Must we have buttonholes for the guys? You have what you want! 09.01.2022 It's hard to believe that only 8 weeks ago, Rach and I were styling the wedding of Jessica and Wesley in Margaret River. I couldn't have guessed at that point that in just a few short weeks we'd no longer be working in our gorgeous studio, but instead would be working from home and catching up with our clients via video. At a time when many businesses are forced to stop altogether, I am thankful that we can continue to work and serve our clients, all from the comfort of home.... 01.01.2022 We LOVE doing things a little differently. A&J didn't want a traditional long bridal table. Firstly, they had been in bridal party's before and knew how isolating a long bridal table can sometimes be during dinner! They wanted to be able to chat to their best friends, so we knew that a round table was the way to go. Next, we had to make sure that they could still be seen! A&J had over 200 wedding guests, so we elevated the bridal table on a circular white stage, and kept the ...table florals nice and low. We positioned the bridal table smack bang in the middle of the room, and suspended a three-ring floral installation overhead. And it worked like magic!
