31.01.2022 So I decided to try something new with my tomato growing this year. I planted 12 tomato plants in a small area mimicking a forest. Huge success. Each plant is booming. Covered in tomatoes, no pests, no disease. So the theory is that in a forest all the plants help each other. If one is lacking something, the others send nutrients to help it. They all work together to survive. (Humans could learn from this!) every other year I have spaced them all out and although they produce, no where near this well, they always suffer with rot and bug damage. Tomatoes from the garden are sooooo much better than the shop! Happy gardening!!

05.12.2021 Compost is the most helpful thing to add to your garden. Making your own is super easy and free!! I throw all my garden waste into a big tub and leave it to the worms. No digging, no turning, no worrying about the temperature. There is enough to do in the garden without worrying about tending to the compost. This is how it turns out after about 6 months. Has great water retention and full of nutients. Give it a try!!
