25.01.2022 Saw this today and thought it shared an important message. It is easy to be quick to react to trolls and negative comments but it is important not to react when we are emotional. Pause, think about it and remember they are just being a Wally. If any of our kids are having troubles with social media, please show them this clever netball themed clip https://www.facebook.com/134496776678805/posts/3214476792014106/?vh=e&extid=0

23.01.2022 Big day today. Photos and Club day. Full Uniform please and cheesiest smiles

22.01.2022 Here is the updated schedule with names I have collected so far. NGCNA have now said it is 3 not 4 in the canteen due to Social distancing which made this easier!! Please we still need a few helpers, if you think you could help where you see red, let me know. ... Thank you to the kind people who have offered their assistance.

22.01.2022 Message from NGCNA received today: The Committee met after the games on Saturday and discussed the results of all the competition. The decision was made to amend the divisions based on these results, because no grading has been held to date. A new draw will be out tomorrow starting from Round 2 this will be the final draw for the competition.... Kind Regards Megan Walker Office Manager

22.01.2022 The Government is providing opportunities for Clubs like ours to apply for funding by way if grant applications. Putting out there if anyone has experience or wants to gain experience in handling this process, we would surely appreciate the help. Please get in touch via our club email [email protected]... Thanks Im advance.

22.01.2022 COVID-19 update Just a timely reminder with Covid hitting the headlines and with community transmission set to be again on the rise, we ask that you please remain in your cars when dropping off and picking up your children from training. It should only be coaches/managers/covid officers and team on and near the courts. All coaches have been provided hand sanitiser to comply with our covid safe plan. Please ensure we all do the right thing so we can continue to play netball a...nd not have to revert back to further restrictions. We must keep to these guidelines as it is what is agreed with the school, we know there are more people at game day but that is NGCNA's approved plan. Our approved industry plan to train is between us and the school - a different "contract" to what occurs on a Saturday. It is important to respect this agreement otherwise we will have nowhere to train again. Thanks

18.01.2022 A great day of volunteering topped of With a success story for the club. Thank you everyone that helped make it a success. ... Congratulations Bek Karaman for her national C badge! Umpiring is a tough job that requires knowledge of the game and confidence. We are very proud of you!!!

16.01.2022 A reminder that we have our Club day coming up Saturday 12 September. A schedule of jobs we need volunteers for will be circulated to coaches and managers to share with teams/parents in order to allocate time slots and volunteers. This date was communicated through team app at the beginning of the season so should be of no surprise to us all. ... Looking forward to another successful Royal Club day at NGCNA - last years was one to be very proud of. Thanks.

16.01.2022 A reminder that Club day is this Saturday. Your coaches/managers would have put the call out for helpers. Thank you for those of you who were quick to provide support. There is still volunteers needed so please let your coaches and managers know. In addition, our Vice President Troy, with help from our Registrar Shelagh will both be coordinating team photos as per the schedule circulated. Please ensure players are in correct uniforms and looking fresh for the team photo. Thank you everyone for your help and support especially Troy McDermott and Shelagh Chamberlain

16.01.2022 Congratulations to everyone for a successful return to play today. Most teams were down a player or even two but teams and clubs pulled together lending players or evening out teams, just to get on court and play. As you know in Jr Comp we cant borrow from divisions above but we can borrow from below. We just make it work. If you cant borrow from below, talk to your opposing club and see if they will share players. Many clubs were doing this today, anything to get girls ou...t on court and enjoying sport. Thank you to all our volunteers, our coaches, managers, Covid officers, Committee and Umpires for making it happen. Thank you to Subway, Event Cinemas for the certificates!! Thank you Mortgage Choice for helping us with out Covid safe equipment. Thanks especially to all our Netballers who played so well especially without training. Training starts this week so look out opposition, WE ARE COMING TO GET YOU!!

16.01.2022 These specials are available from our wonderful sponsor Subway at Subway Pimpama, Oxenford and pacific pines. Get behind our sponsors if you are in these areas and hungry!!

15.01.2022 Dear members. Just wanted to raise a few points from Saturday. On the whole I was so proud of the level of responsibility taken by all of you keeping to the Covid plan and rules. Our teams all had great games - with only a few losses and even the losses were - 2nd places everyone giving their best. Kids happy, enjoying sport and being great sports. Thank you. I was however approached by NGCNA representatives and advised that there were a few of our teams with fold out cha...irs and several family members at the game. They had been specific with this request in a post and repost on our page last week. Only one spectator per player and no chairs at the courts. I know its is rough, I myself am facing not seeing my daughter train or play as her games are played in the indoor complex where no spectators are allowed at all. Its unfortunate to miss a year of her netball development but the main goal - her continuing and enjoying sport is achieved. This is a rough year and lets hope things improve but I ask for your continued efforts to respect the rules and keep us all safe. Thank you all, in particular our Covid officers, managers, coaches and our umpires. This year has shown such community spirit and it makes me proud.

15.01.2022 Please help support one of our awesome sponsors!!

15.01.2022 Twilight draw for Tuesday 10th November

15.01.2022 Congratulations to everyone who played today especially our Royal teams who played the finals. Thank you NGCNA for a great season.

14.01.2022 Good morning, At this stage all games are going ahead as scheduled. Thanks

13.01.2022 Twilight draw for Tuesday.

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Elli Thomas, last night named as NGCNA most improved Jr Umpire! We are so proud and appreciative of all our umpires. It’s a very difficult job!! Thank you once more to all of you for your assistance this year.

13.01.2022 Lisa Everding has been a volunteer with the club in years past, offering personal training to our girls as well as helping on the Committee. She has opened her own Yoga and Pilates studio right here in ORMEAU! Her classes are appropriate for beginners (like me) and those up for a challenge and everyone is made to feel comfortable and at home. ... We spend so much time racing after our children and making sure they have exercise, maybe its time you had some me time yourself. Take advantage of this offer. You wont regret it.

12.01.2022 I am sure I am not alone in having a story about a friend that I wished I had checked in on before it was too late. I'm also not alone in having a friend or two who battles with mental illness every single day. I know I'm not alone in admitting that not every day is easy for me either.... Checking in can be critically important. Even those who appear to have it all worked out - often they are the ones who actually don't. Spoken like a true netballer guys "I'm here if you need". 1. Ask the question 2. Listen 3. Encourage Action 4. Check in. for more: https://lnkd.in/guhQkQG

10.01.2022 Thank you to everyone with their names on this roster for your support in volunteering today Two names that are not There but doing the most are photographers Shelagh Chaimberlain and Troy McDermott. Executive members of our committee doing everything they can to make sure you get a photo of your teams this season. Thank you from all of us!

10.01.2022 A quick update on the requirements for Saturday Netball at NGCNA courts. Audits of sporting facilities against the COVID 19 Industry Plans have started. To ensure we comply we are asking for your help with the following items to ensure we keep our numbers at a minimum and ensure our social distancing is maintained: >sign in and out of the grounds using the EVA app or manually entering your name in the sheets provided >limit family members attending the courts on Satu...rday to watch the games (preferably 1 adult per player) >leave camping chairs at home to allow for adequate spacing between family groups >clear the court area as quickly as possible after the final whistle for your game >be patient around the clubhouse and canteen >1.5m social distancing >if you are feeling unwell, please stay at home >clean, cover, contain The intent of this season is to allow players the opportunity to play netball. This is not a normal season and to ensure we can continue to provide this opportunity we need your help. Thank you for your understanding & support.

10.01.2022 We are all set for tomorrow thanks to the Pearls and Bluegums for Filling in the gaps with canteen shifts. Looking forward to a successful club day tomorrow. GO ROYALS

09.01.2022 News just in, not just Bek but Paige Furner too! Well done to you both for achieving your national C badges! Umpiring is such a courageous task, we are so proud of our girls and thank you to Chloe Furner for her coaching to get them there!!!

09.01.2022 A HUGE congratulations to Elli Thomas who was awarded her B Badge for umpiring this week. Elli is one of our Diamonds and so a Royal veteran . Im sure many members will see this post and share in pride to see her progression. Well done.

08.01.2022 To our teams in the Finals today GOOD LUCK! To our teams playing for a place Have Fun!! To our all teams playing their final game for 2020 CONGRATULATIONS on playing out the 2020 season. ... 07.01.2022 Please take a look through the UPDATED list of locations and if you have been to them at the times stated please stay home.

07.01.2022 Members, we are being inundated with the same question. How will we know if games are on or off with the rain? Best advice for all members is follow the NGCNA Facebook page. Any notifications on this matter will be posted on the NGCNA page tomorrow.

07.01.2022 Coaches and Managers, please check the draw, there have been some Changes to games in the emerald and topaz divisions. Further detail available on TEAM APP chat. Always good to keep an eye on the draw. ... Helen.

06.01.2022 Bit of fun. Which player are you? https://www.facebook.com/317278538359186/posts/3508777779209230/?vh=e&extid=Qpdb2LQdPZhp0xMK

06.01.2022 Watching Team App communications and want to applaud our amazing netball community. Two things: 1. people taking COVID seriously. ... 2. everyone pulling together to make the best of the situation. Last minute notices advising that a child is unwell and able to play or umpire is the right thing to do. All pulling together to do what it takes to assist the shortfall is where our Royal sportsmanship is really shining. We can only do our best and the priority is keeping some normality for our kids to enjoy during a very troubling period of our lives. Thank you all for everyone you are doing. Remember to check in and keep distance today

06.01.2022 Despite some cases found in Pimpama we are ok to proceed play tomorrow under the Covid industry plan. More than ever it is important to keep to the rules and minimise crowding, keep distance and be Covid safe.

06.01.2022 Twilight netball will be cancelled this evening unfortunately due to the predicted storms. Keep safe.

05.01.2022 A reminder! Believe in yourself and have a go

05.01.2022 Club day is not this coming weekend but the next weekend, Saturday 12 September. This has been sent to your coaches and managers and they will be asking parents of each team listed to help make club day a success. This occurs Only once a year and an easier year this year with no BBQ duty or cake stall. ... Please work with other teams you have been allocated tasks with to make sure by working together we have each shift covered. Thanks in advance.

04.01.2022 Members, play it safe.

04.01.2022 Take note please members. Important message for anyone attending game day and training sessions. If you feel unwell or have been in contact with anyone that has tested positive, you must NOT attend either our games or training until you have been tested negative by Qld Health.

03.01.2022 Some good news regarding the Runaway Bay Indoor Courts. From this Saturday the 12/9/2020 we have been advised that we can introduce a limited number of spectators into the venue. Can you please pass on to your Teams playing on the indoor courts that they are allowed 1 spectator per player into the venue.... We still need to be very vigilant with our social distancing and hygiene otherwise this could be revoked. Conversely, if we manage the space correctly we may be able to revisit numbers for coming weeks. Thanks for your support.

02.01.2022 This year has been tough and we have had to all pull together to make it work. Maraia Malo and Lainey Hall are two players who have done just that. Having received special clearance from NGCNA to play for two teams, these girls played for their own team as well as the Corals who dropped down to just 6 players when COVID hit and some families pulled out of teams. Lainey and Maraia sometimes played for up to three teams each Saturday. To thank them they were asked by Netball Q...ueensland to participate in a news story that will be played tonight on channel 9 news (hopefully tonight). The new Pimpama sports hub which will hopefully be the new training home for the Royals is amazing. Romelda Aiken from the Firebirds gave the girls a few pointers and they got to meet Donna Gates and the Mayor! Thank you Matthew Battams for organising today’s event.

02.01.2022 Hi members. Doing well with the volunteers thank you! Unfortunately nobody has volunteered for canteen from 12.30-2. Please note last game is at 12 so this is a dead easy shift. Please can someone put their hand up so we can avoid being fined by NGCNA. I need three volunteers for this.

02.01.2022 Our club has some very generous volunteers. With Covid restrictions they have been challenged more than ever to do what they have to in order to keep your children safe and push through 2020 to provide our children some normality in a very abnormal year. Im sure the parents of the club agree, this year has gone better than expected. If you dont agree, please consider becoming a volunteer so you can understand the challenges first. ... Thanks to all our amazing volunteers.

01.01.2022 NGCNA would like to invite you to HP Clinics see attached Flyer: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER NOW https://netball.resultsvault.com/comm/pages//welcome.aspx

01.01.2022 TWILIGHT SEASON A twilight comp will run this year. Games will be on Tuesday afternoons with first game on 20 October at Runaway Bay Courts. ... NGCNA have advised that due to the shorter winter season in 2020, twilight will be at no cost to registered players. Each team entered by Royals will need to organise their own umpire. Royals contract for training at schools and subsequent COVID training plan does not extend past the current season so twilight will need to be viewed as the social competition that it is and one without training. Only new comers need to pay a $40 rego fee. Comp is for U10s to Junior Inters however theres a possibility for U9s if NGCNA get enough teams that nominate. It is advised that teams advise of their interest ASAP via the club email [email protected]
