25.01.2022 Our beautiful village is situated in the leafy hamlet of Ormiston. Trees are so valued in our community and we are blessed to have some treasured specimens on our property. National Tree Day was co-founded in 1996 by Planet Ark and Olivia Newton-John. It has now grown in to Australias largest community tree planting and nature protection event. Planet Ark is asking Australians to help us plant one million new native trees and shrubs across the country. We wholeheartedly agree! Happy National Tree Day.

22.01.2022 We have started our Christmas celebrations off with a bang. Each year our Village Operator provides a sumptuous lunch for the residents. Santa even dropped in to say hello and check on who has been naughty and who has been nice.

21.01.2022 Our August Babies morning tea for Phil, Ray & Betty was a lovely catch up for our Leos celebrating their special days this month. A scrumptious birthday cake, a cup of coffee/tea and some stories shared about each other is a great recipe for a fun morning. Cant wait for our September Babies celebration next month.

Our residents have created a beautiful tribute to their fathers by way of a Fathers Memory Tree. Residents have given their Fathers name and something special they remember about him. Our talented social group have made all of the hand drawn blue decorations for the tree. 10.01.2022 Oktoberfest was celebrated in true German style at Ormiston Rise recently. Our choir led by singing Drink Drink Drink, Edleweiss and we all did the Chicken Dance. Such a fun night with all the Fruleins and their partners embracing the night with their German sausages, sauerkraut, pretzels and strudel.
