22.01.2022 Dear Members I wish to advise the 2020 Annual General Meeting of the Ormond Junior Football Club will be held at 7.30pm Wednesday 28 October 2020. You are warmly invited to attend the AGM which due to COVID restrictions will be held online.... Online registration details will be advised shortly. The Annual Report will also be released prior to meeting and for tabled ratification. All positions will be spilled at the AGM and the new 2021 Committee and Executive positions will be appointed. You can nominate for a position prior to or during the meeting. We encourage virtual attendance but you can vote via a proxy which must be gathered and lodged in accordance with the Constitution. 20.01.2022 While the season has been a difficult one, there are always positives and certain champions who lead the way out of the darkness. Our committee, Coaches and Junior Coaches are testiment to that with their dedication and hard work to keep our kids connected off field. We thank you all so much. This videos shows two of our Junior Coaches, Tarkyn and Oscar, who have provided their Junior Coaching online during ISO2. Well done guys, you have been amazing role models and an inspi...ration to your U10 team. Alongside your fellow Junior Coaches and your Mentors, you have helped to keep Ormond JFC positive and connected. 20.01.2022 A great opportunity for our 12-17 year olds. WORKSHOP #3 FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 12-17 IS HERE!! Tue, September 1, 2020... 4:30 PM 5:30 PM AEST Register for this FREE workshop via link in comments. This informal workshop is all about helping teens increase their mental health literacy by: - Learning to notice the signs that themselves or their friends may be experiencing thoughts and feelings of suicide - Knowing when and how to talk to a trusted adult - Discussing how to respond to the common schoolyard question of "Can you keep my secret?" when someone may be in danger. We invite teenagers aged between 12-17 to join us, and encourage a parent/guardian to come along with you! Chloe and Pru both have Working with Children Checks & Police Checks!

17.01.2022 The Last Post Dear Members At our AGM on Wednesday night the 2020 Committee handed over governance of the Club to the newly formed 2021 Committee.... I congratulate Mike Whitney on being elected your new President. Mike is an outstanding individual and will be an outstanding leader the Club is in excellent hands going forward. Mike has been a prominent member of the Club for many years as his son has progressed his football. He has already contributed to the Club significantly through the various positions he has held including on Committee most recently being Vice President for several years. Mike is a terrific communicator and strategic thinker who understands community sport and gets junior football. He has great relationships with the League and other Club leaders and knows how Ormond ticks. I look forward to watching from a distance as the Club grows further in stature under his leadership. If it comes away looking even a little more in his image it will have taken big strides. Decent, respectful, humble, fun, with passion for player development and support . Back him and support him. Great things are on the horizon with Mike I’m getting an arm chair, nachos and settling in the for the show. With very best wishes and one last Go Monders! 08.01.2022 EE Gunn Refurb Complete! In these challenging times we press on our eyes to the future. Better days are ahead as more of our Club foundations are embedded and strengthened. Today we are pleased to announce the completion of our EE Gunn refurbishment. We now have four refurbished change rooms where ALL teams can gather before and after games. Welcoming to all our new unisex amenities are safe, clean and modern.... In addition the bike path now safely diverts behind the rooms, the Canteen is refreshed and the competition standard ground lighting complete. Our huge thanks to all that have seen this multi-year endeavour through Glen Eira Council, Jamie Hyams, Tim Wilson, David Southwick, the SMJFL, Monarch Paints and the OAFC. We have been the grateful recipients of various grants and awards and the vision and good will of our co-tenants. Stay safe. We will all gather again soon and we will all continue to belong.
