24.01.2022 RED-EARED FIRETAIL - RED IPA The Red-eared Firetail is a tiny, shy, quiet, and rather unobtrusive bird, but this Red IPA is a big, outgoing, loud, and rather obtrusive beer. While foraging on the ground, this sweet little finch found caramel, dark toffee, citrus, pine, and a little earthiness. After a few of these beers, you too may be red in the cheeks.

24.01.2022 Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to see us at Beer InCider! Such a great weekend, and I was humbled by all the interest and positive feedback. Keep drinking good beer!

24.01.2022 Heading to the Montpelier Beer Mixer tomorrow? Why not wander down to Newstead before or after and put these in your mouth? GREAT CORMORANT - Scotch Ale - 8.5% RED-EARED FIRETAIL - Red IPA - 8.6%

In other news, I have recently taken up the head brewer position at Catchment Brewing Co, so youll find me hanging out at either the Ornith or the Catchment stand (well be next to each other). See you there!

18.01.2022 Heading out for a brew this weekend? Why not hunt down the Red-eared Firetail on the back bar at Netherworld? Tasting yum.

18.01.2022 Okay, a couple of you got the bird species correct...now who thinks they know what style of beer it will be?

17.01.2022 Thank you so much to all of you who came out and sampled our beers at Beer InCider today. We wouldnt be here without you!

17.01.2022 Look whats landed at Catchment Brewing Co! Get yourselves down there for a beer.

17.01.2022 Perhaps it should be called Outstanding Cormorant? Its great to see people enjoying this one, since we dont see many Scotch Ales around. What bars would you like the Great Cormorant to fly into next? Tag them here!

15.01.2022 What a great launch event last week at Newstead Brewing Co.! Thanks so much to the guys there for having me, and thank you to everyone who came along and tasted the beers. Pretty exciting to have them so well received. Great Cormorant and/or Red-eared Firetail coming soon to a bar near you!

14.01.2022 The Red-eared Firetail...blink and youll miss it! 50L of this bad boy was tapped at Brewski at the start of the week, and by last night it was all gone! A couple of other bars will be tapping this beer soon, so keep an eye on Now Tapped or click on our pinned post to stay on the lookout. : Brewski

13.01.2022 Red-eared Firetail currently hovering around 4/5 stars on Untappd. Not bad for such a tiny bird! Where would you like to see it on tap? Tag your favourite bars!

11.01.2022 The Metallic Starling Minted Porter has landed! Now on tap at @catchmentbrewingco. Keep an eye on Now Tapped to see where it pops up next.

10.01.2022 Red IPA and Scotch Ale now on tap at Saccharomyces Beer Cafe! Some great looking chalk art as well.

09.01.2022 This cool, rainy weather calls for a Scotch Ale!

08.01.2022 What a good looking tap list. Head down to Zero Fox to get your Ornith fix (and some of the best Japanese food around).

08.01.2022 Some of you did guess the style of beer correctly on the last post! Another hint (read dead giveaway) - this beer has already been released previously, as a single keg during Brewsvegas earlier this year.

07.01.2022 Its always so great to hear that people are enjoying my beers! Have you tried one? Let me know what you thought in the comments!

06.01.2022 Wondering where you can find my beers on tap? Click here!

06.01.2022 Keep tomorrow afternoon free, and make sure you drop into Brisbane Brewing Co. for this years instalment of Tipsy with the Gypsy. Come and see what Brisbanes up-and-coming brewers have to offer and taste the brand new Ornith Metallic Starling - any guesses on the style of beer?

06.01.2022 Putting down a pilot batch for our Beer InCider festival beer today! An Ornith Brewing Co / Catchment Brewing Co collaboration. Some sneaky Aussie botanicals in this one.

04.01.2022 Its no secret that the Little Lorikeet loves burying its tiny red face into fruit. After its gorged itself on sweet, juicy lychees, it might even share some with youif you approach it slowly. Soak up the tropical fruit and piney bitterness, then move onto the next Little Lorikeet, because these birds are usually found in twos or threes.

04.01.2022 Coming down to Beer InCider today? Drop by the Ornith stand. Your taste buds will thank you! Repost from Schoonerversity: Super refreshing and full of zing: Citrio, the Lemon Myrtle Pale Ale by Ornith Brewing and Catchment Brewing. Its unlike anything youve had. People keep coming back for more, wide-eyed and babbling about how much they love it.... You too can be a wide-eyed babbler. Come grab some from the Ornith Brewing tent at Beer InCider. Ill pour it for you myself!

04.01.2022 Go hit up Bloodhound Bar for some Little Lorikeet Lychee Pale Ale. Its the last keg youll ever see!

03.01.2022 A huge thanks to The Crafty Pint for the mention. Plenty of great new local beers this year, and if there any here you havent tried...well, you know what to do.

02.01.2022 Get your fix of the Red-eared Firetail Red IPA at The Scratch this weekend!

01.01.2022 Weve been flying under the radar for some time now and we must apologise to those who have been attempting to seek out our beers during the last few months. If you are one of those people, then dont miss this! Well be there pouring some old favourites alongside a special batch, brewed for this festival. See you there.

01.01.2022 Pssst...we have a new beer brewing! Who knows what species of bird this one is?
