16.02.2022 ORTHO-BIONOMY sharing with community. Thank you Josie for taking the time to share your sessions. Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle therapeutic body work modality that uses comfortable positions, gentle movements and supportive compression to alleviate structural imbalances, enable body mobility, stress related body tension and more. ... By allowing the body to alicite a respond rather than a reaction the opportunity for self regulation and healing are truely profound. Advanced Practitioner and Ortho-Bionomy Australia Board Member. This is the way into further to allowing healing to be felt and understood as a process not a destination. Donna-Lee Wynen

23.01.2022 Something about this comment from Confuscious just resonates with Ortho-Bionomy. Working gently with the nervous system, as we do in Ortho-Bionomy, is effective without the need for huge effort and that may cause pain for both therapist and client. No pain....all gain.

Articles can be short or long (around 500 words is ideal) ... Photos & musings regarding your experience with Ortho-Bionomy are also welcome. Perhaps you have a anecdote or experience with recent events here in Australia relevant to our Ortho-Bionomy principles & reflexes? Or something you'd like to share with us about how you connect with community - your own or the broader OB community. How does this support your life and work? For those who attended - any follow on from thoughts, conversations, presentations, connections or re-connections made at the OB Conference? Please send to the newsletter editor - Fiona at [email protected]

15.01.2022 One of the principles that guide Ortho-Bionomy is for the therapist not be too attached to specific outcomes. Attachment can limit the direction, and so the possibilities that may arise. Better to listen to the body for it's guidance

30.12.2021 The Follow-On Response ‘The Follow-On is a technique in which we begin something that needs no answer, nor do we care about getting an answer, as that type of situation would be handled by the rebound, or other reflexes. The following scenario provides an excellent example: suppose we are walking down the street, when someone approaches us and asks, Where is the closest bar?... In some cases, it wouldn’t even be necessary for us to speak. We could use hand gesture to point to a bar in the vicinity that was visible to us both. The mere action of responding to the question is a follow-on in itself.’ Taken from The Philosophy & History of Ortho-Bionomy, Arthur Lincoln Paul’s, D.O. 15.12.2021 We are the proof of the process of the evolvement of our original concept... which is pretty cool. Hey!
