18.01.2022 COVID-19 Information for our patients and parents: Our clinic is now operating under level 3 restriction as directed by the Australian Health Protection Principles Committee (AHPPC) and Australian Dental Association (ADA). This mean we cannot see new patients, start new treatments, perform any routine orthodontic adjustments, or reviewing plates and retainers. ... We can however, continue to provide emergecy appointments to our existing patients for relieve of pain and discomfort. Please note, due to the restriction on the use of air and water (to prevent generating aerosols), there are some procedures we cannot perform during emergency appointment, such as rebonding broken braces back onto teeth. If you experience any problems with your orthodontic appliances, please contact our office during normal operating hours, and our friendly receptionist will gladly help you out. Those of you who has appointments with us in April and May should have already received email notification explaining the need to reschedule your appointment. If you did not receive the email, please contact our office and let us know you did not receive the email. At this stage we hope the restriction will be lifted in June. Finally, please stay safe and healthy, wash your hands frequently, use hand sanitizers, and practice social distancing. Let us do all we can to get through this COVID-19 pandemic. 08.01.2022 After 2 flight cancellations due to the hurricane, Dr Gary and Dr Phebe had to take a big detour flying from Tokyo - Auckland - Sydney - Perth. After 30 hours, they finally landed back in Perth. Very glad that although the hurricane affected the trip, everyone is safe. 06.01.2022 Our newest Orthodontist to join our team of Western Australian trained Orthodontists is Dr Richard Lee. Richard completed his Bachelor of Dental Science with honours at the University of Western Australia before serving with the Royal Australian Air Force as a dental officer. He returned to UWA to complete a research degree as well as his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics. Richard was the recipient of the AB travelling fellowship and completed a one year Craniofa...cial and Special Care Clinical Fellowship at the prestigious Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Dr Lee practices in all our clinics in Claremont, Floreat and Joondalup. He is passionate about Orthodontics and is actively involved in research and education as a Senior Lecturer in Orthodontics at UWA.

05.01.2022 The Australian Dental Association (ADA) and the Australian Health Protection Principles Committee (AHPPC) have decided to lower the dental restriction to Level 2 on Sunday 26th April. This means we can now resume our normal operation, albeit we still need to observe the social distancing rule in the waiting room. We request that only the patient to enter our clinic. For our younger patients, one accompanying adult can help to check in and book the follow up appointment(s); ho...wever we kindly request the accompanying adult to enter our clinic only when necessary. We will invite the accompanying adult to come into the treatment area when there is a need for treatment discussion. For all our patients who had their appointments postponed, our receptionists will now start to contact you and bring your appointment forward. We ask for your understanding that hundreds of patients appointments have been affected. Therefore in order to be fair, patients who had their original appointments cancelled in late March / first week of April will be contacted first, followed by those who had their original appointments cancelled in the second week of April, and so on. Patients who already started treatment and have appliances on their teeth will have higher priority than those who has yet to start treatment or those who has already completed the treatment. For those waiting to start treatment, we will recall you from mid-May onward. For those who are wearing retainers, we will recall you from June onward. We will continue to provide emergency appointments such as repairing broken braces, broken plates, relieve of pain, or replace lost retainers. If you have any concerns regarding your orthodontic treatment, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
