10.02.2022 Bit of excitement for a Wednesday morning. A 6.0 magnitude earthquake 10km deep, epicentre ~10km south of Mt Buller. We hope everyone's ok and no damage to their buildings. I have always wondered what it feels like to be antislavery skiing when an earthquake hits. We're you doing? Did you feel it? Let us know. (We were inside a big concrete building fitting boots - we certainly felt it here at Mt Buller!).

24.01.2022 Our ancient mountains of the Australian alpine region are covered in snowgums. In recent years, dieback of snowguns has become more widespread and common. We can all help this summer by simply reporting on the online portal www.saveoursnowgum.org where we see signs of borers in the trees. Read the article for more info. It's something simple we can all do to help. Makes you feel good!

23.01.2022 As of 5pm this evening, Thursday 9th July, the ski lifts are no longer running at Falls and Hotham due to Covid19 difficulties. Falls Creek the resort is still currently open for guests to stay. As for Ortho Ski at Falls Creek, we are still open by appointment, and our Buller location is business as usual for the time being.

15.01.2022 Remember, FALLS CREEK and HOTHAM resorts will still be open for regional Victoria, just with no chairs turning. The message from Falls Creek Resort Management ...tonight is that they are STILL OPEN to the public for sightseeing, xc skiing, backcountry touring, lodging and supporting their food and beverage operators. Expect Hotham is the same but will confirm. Dinner Plain is also still open for tobogganing. We'll report more on this tomorrow. LOCAL OPERATORS AND BUSINESSES WILL NEED OUR SUPPORT.

Buller will be open daily and, like usual, you can book an appointment or walk-in, but at our Falls Creek clinic it will be appointment only. Don't forget your masks, your covid test and your feet - we've got the rest ready and waiting, socks, boots, snow and spinning lifts !!

05.01.2022 Mt Buller have given it their all to keep the lifts spinning for Australians, then Victorians, then just regional Victorians, then just the immediate surrounds. As the restrictions kept changing, they kept adapting to do what they could for their skiers. However, this afternoon was the last turn of the lifts as the state government announced the closure of alpine parks in Victoria in line with stage 3 restrictions in place across regional Victoria. Thank you to Mt Buller for such gallant repeated efforts. Ortho Ski will be open next week from Monday to Friday, 9am to midday or by appointment and then closed. Please call 0408 955 475. Mt Buller hopes to reopen on 14th September if at all possible, in which case we will be back for all your bootfitting needs. Take care, stay safe and keep dreaming of snow in the future.

So our new location in Mt Buller has not had the fit-out we had originally planned for our dear clients to enjoy. However, today we have finally been able to install our awesome, new 6m wide image of Kaylin Richardson taken by insanely talented photographer @louisarevalo.
