24.01.2022 We got to review original survey field books from the early 1900’s. Very neat and tidy for the conditions they had to work in. They may have been drafted in the camp at night by lantern light.
23.01.2022 Surveying is a great career, can take you anywhere.
22.01.2022 Attention Underground Miners, use your UG experience to build a career in Surveying.
22.01.2022 Our survey crews got to travel all over our region this week. Visiting an awesome twin vain rock cairn at the start of the week and then surveying a original broad arrow carved into rock from Surveyor Dawson in 1906. Working in the Mudgee region certainly has its benefits. #mudgeeregion

09.01.2022 A great overview by our equipment supplier. We deal with a company that has the same values and focus as us, especially when it comes to mentoring or trainees.
08.01.2022 Handy work of Surveyor Dawson 1902.
06.01.2022 What a cracking few days Ben and Rob had following the footsteps of Surveyor Dawson from 1900. These survey marks were placed 119 years ago and may have not been surveyed since. ORyans service the Central Slopes and Central West of NSW, if you would like to enquire about our services please phone David 0499 741790.

04.01.2022 March 1947: The birth of Woomera Lens whole operation stemmed from the inception of the Woomera Rocket Range and the need for the large-scale surveys for the ...tracking instrumentation involved. The request came from General Sir John Evetts, who led the joint project. Len who was then a Surveyor with the Australian Army, was to find a suitable place to establish this rocket range - and having done so, survey and establish roads across Australia so that instrument stations could be established along the rockets likely trajectory so that the success (or otherwise) of the tests could be measured. Read the story in Still in the Bush or listen to the audiobook. Use the code StillWoomera for 10% off the audiobook this month. Only at www.lenbeadell.com.au Photo copyright Beadell Family
03.01.2022 Today is Global Surveyors Day, 21st March, so I get to share a favourite advert from 1959 with a surveying theme. Surveying in Australia has a lot of history, a lot of the first explores were Surveyors and we are still finding blazed trees that can be dated back to the late 1800 today.
02.01.2022 We recently surveyed a boundary where we had to locate the original survey marks placed in the 1890s. The survey marks in the photos were all hand made and have survived bush fires and weathering. Contact us through our page for all survey requirements.
