25.01.2022 Looking for a new footy club for the 2021 season? Well, look no further! After a tough 2020, Osborne Park is looking to bolster the playing ranks with some new faces. Although currently playing in the C4 competition, we have a good group of 20-23 year old's who hopefully will take us back to C3 and beyond in the coming years. The ideal new player will be someone that enjoys the social aspect of footy almost as much as the footy itself. ... 09.01.2022 Today the Osborne park Football Club hosts its annual Beyond Blue Charity Round. We also celebrate the achievement of a much loved member of the OPAFC. Michael (Kiwi) Coventry today will celebrate his 100th game for OPAFC.... An unknown from New Zealand he went straight to WAAFL club East Perth, unfortunately they will live to regret not signing up this young man. 2014 was Kiwi's first year in playing AFL football. In his first year he won a premiership. I remember the first function we had that year and he went to hospital as he split his head open in the early hours after a few beers. I thought to myself not another Mark Jahn, probably explains why they are both such great mates. His love and passion for the club are evident in the behind the scenes hours he puts in to help the operations of the football club. The work and support he has provided myself as President is invaluable and working alongside him is a great pleasure. Kiwi is selfless, passionate and loyal and this is constantly shown on a weekly basis to all that know him. I look forward to seeing how this inspirational and committed character continues to grow on his life journey. 05.01.2022 100 GAMES Jeremy Labianca. Even though the OPAFC is young this is another family name that will always be entrenched with the football club where us and the family have embraced each other. Labianca's, Sartori's, Mahony's, Grogan's, Pascov's and many more to come.... Jeremy Labianca joined the Osborne Park Football Club in 2013 after his failed attempts to crack the movie industry with a Once were Warriors type of movie about the notorious gangs of Osborne Park which is now the OPAFC Football Club. Jeremy's love of his family, friends, mates and the club is infectious and also at times quite annoying, at least we know what we get. Jeremy immediately became a leader of the football club being appointed captain from 2015 - 18. His on field and off field commitment is always up there, with him making every effort to attend training, functions and games. This year Jezza stepped up after I asked him to coach the reserves when we were looking for a coach. After thinking about it Jezza came back to me with the words "how hard can coaching be, if I can tell Tijana what to do and she immediately recognises I'm the boss and in control & my mum listens to me when I tell her she is responsible for bringing the snakes I'm sure the players will." Jezza for a first year coach you are still finding your feet but you are committed and will be taking the reserves on another finals campaign. You appear to be at this club to lead and you have done a fine job. Here is a few of Jezza's achievements.
